Trinidad KO'S De La Hoya Fight!

EXCLUSIVE Trinidad KO'S De La Hoya Fight!
    By G. Leon

Tito-DLH II, Nothing More Than A Dead Issue!

October 05, 2004 - After speaking with Don Felix Trinidad Sr. for over an hour, ********** can be the first to assure you that Trinidad-De La Hoya II is DEFINITELY NOT an option for Trinidad. In fact it's not even a discussion. According to Papa Trinidad, "Tito will be embarrassed fighting a guy who lost his last three fights! What can a guy like that do for Tito's legacy in boxing? We're not here to rip the fans off, we appreciate our fans and the people who spend their hard earned money to watch these fights. Why should we defraud the public for a guy that basically quit?" Members don't want to miss what else Papa Trinidad had to say in tomorrow's exclusive interview. Remember when Don Felix talks, "it's the same as Tito Trinidad speaking," as Tito recently told **********.com.

If they weren't interested in the fight, I don't know if they would be going out of their way to insult Oscar.

This sounds like pre-fight hype to me.

I'd like to see Trinidad take on a Raul Marquez or some other tough veteran before he schedules his next p4p opponent. Give Hopkins a chance to defend his belt one more time, then go after him. In the meantime, a Marquez or a Joppy rematch or maybe Maselino Masoe.

Hopkins is closing a deal with sturm...I see no reason for tito to fight marquez, I say put sturm against hopkins and tito against taylor and then the winners go at it...

I know Hopkins is fighting in Jan., that's why I said he should let Bernard have his title defense and fight someone else in the meantime. I don't think it's a good fight for Taylor at this time. He needs a few guys a step up from Bunema but not in the Trinidad class to gain experiences and confidence. Tito should take a tune-up. If he fought Masoe, he would hold a belt, though Hopkins would be super-champ of that organization, and 'Nard could pride himself in being truly "undisputed". That is until the WBA stripped him again...

Oscar won the first fight, i dont care if the lord Jesus Christ tells me different. I am not an Oscar fan, i just know what i saw. You dont lose a fight running the last 3 rounds when you won AT LEAST 8 of the first 9. I would respect Tito more if he didnt try to act like he won that fight. He acts like he conquered DLH.
