Of Course DLH deserves respect. The guy started his por career at 130 and now he took on one of the 4 greates middleweights who ever lived. There is no shame in losing to Bernard Hopkins.

What I was most impressed with was the fact that Oscar did not use the cut on his hand or the fact that he was the smaller guy as an excuse. In boxing that is a rare thing these days- in that alone Oscar earned alot of my respect.

I agree, and about the body shot, I've seen Ward drop guys with hooks that looked slow to me, but they dropped, matbe he got caught when he was taking a breath or something, they said he didn't see it coming, probably wasn't tense, it happens, ya know?

Actually I thought Oscar was looking for a way out....his corner's advice seemed to suddenly shift gears. The bodyshot looked a little suspect to me but maybe he was caught at some vulnerable nexus in his respiratory cycle. I think that Tito gutted it out and made much more of a real fight of it. I thought that the judging might be off on a distance decision and only put 2 dimes on Hopkins via KO and won 3200.

All boxers say the body shot you DONT SEE is the one that kills ya. DLH did not see that punch comin at all.

I'm also very hapopy that DLH didnt use the hand as an excuse because beefore the fight HBO built it up so that he could use it if he wanted to.

All the props in the world for Oscar. He stood his ground. It was wierd seing Oscar scream in pain like that lol. Perfect liver shot. It did look slow but I dunno Hopkins' punch never looked devestating but they sure are strong.
