My gut tells me Mikey wins but this is one fight that imo is hard to prejudge.
Jumping up to 147 and then down to 135 will take something out of Mikey if he tries it. Loma puts opponents under pressure the entire fight and they don't get a break - going back to 135 might see Mikey tiring in the last third of the fight, and that's when Loma comes on sttrong.

I remember way back that Mikey was identified to struggle with fast, slick boxers. That was back when Mikey vs Linares was first discussed, and the back-chat then was that Linares had the style to beat Mikey. Of course Mikey vs Linares never happened, and there might be a reason for that.

However, the Loma vs Pedraza wasn't the prime Loma we are used to seeing (eg the one vs Linares), something was off. Maybe it was rust and the surgery, but it remains to be seen if he gets back to his Linares form. It wasn't just the lack of throwing his right, he wasn't turning Pedraza like he's done everyone else, so his feet weren't moving like usual either.

So a couple of unknowns if Loma gets in with Mikey at 135 - (1) what state will Mikey be back at 135 after gaining a lot of weight and a long, hard night with Spence (which is all but guaranteed) (2) has Loma lost something ?

We'll see, but I don't expect Mikey back at 135. I'd be far more interested in Mikey vs Prograis at 140 - now THAT would be interesting.

140, 147 ANY WEIGHT CLASS. There's a reason Bob will not let this fight happen. If Bob thought, even thought Lomo could beat Mikey this fight would've already happened. remember when he tried to step up against a "journeyman" named SALIDO.....guess he wasnt as good as advertised or he isnt. Salido was just coming foward, no special effects (what do you think he's gonna do vs 140+ guys who just come foward?) Broner had a better record and was FAR more exciting, but he's melinated.

Lomachenko has a bad style for Garcia. Mikey is really going to struggle with Lomachenko's speed and footwork. There's a reason he ducked Linares to fight Lipinets.

Mikey made a mistake by going up in weight and I think Loma made a mistake going up in weight. Mikey shouldn't have went any higher than 140 and Loma doesn't look as dominant at 35 they both need to move down in weight. I think Loma lost some of his speed at '35 and his power isn't as devastating at that weight. Not to mention if comes across big 135 lber with power. Pedraza can't crack a egg that was his problem. I see why they turned down the Pac fight he would have got schooled by 40 year old Pac.

Circus act? You are a damn fool calling a top PFP fighter a fool. Just goes to show how pinhead casuals like you dont have a clue about boxing. And Mayweather would have boxed Lopez and Garcia's ears off.

Following your logic, remember when Hopkins fought a debutant named Clinton Mitchell and lost....guess he wasn't as good as advertised or he isn't.

Seriously, when are people going to llok back at the Salido fight and actually acknowledge what happened.
                (1) Salido came in heavy, weight class apart
                (2) the referee didn't understand punches below the naval were not allowed, so he let Salido pound away down there all night. Ifr the ref had done his job, that weapon would have been taken away from Salido by way of a points deductions and eventual DQ. Ref fail - big time.
                (3) Loma was still green. Watch how slowly he started vs any fight after (exception Pedraza). He paced himself too much and ended up with too much in the tank. If he started going through the gears earlier, he would probably have had Salid out.

The Loma that lost to Salido is no different than the Hopkins that lost to Mitchell - times change, things move on, although clearly some people prefer not to.

My thoughts exactly. Hate to say it but Mikey knocks Loma out easy, he's too big for Loma.
