Salido was just coming foward, no special effects (what do you think he's gonna do vs 140+ guys who just come foward?) Broner had a better record and was FAR more exciting, but he's melinated.
Better fighters than Lomachenko lost to worse fighters than Salido who’s a multiple time world champion not a journeyman and that fight was a robbery.

Broner? LOL. Dude had like 3-4 gift wins was life and death with Paulie in his peak and got dominated by Maidana and Porter two good but hardly special fighters.

    Your racist (which you got banned for) and you are blind. It’s killing you that so many “whiteys” are doing well like #1 p4p, Usyk fighter of the year, Fury exposing Wilder etc;

    Broner LOL

I like both Lomachenko and Mikey, Vasil even moreso. But in a fight at 135, I’ll go with Garcia. Great as Loma is, he’s a small guy, and his power just isn’t enough at that weight to go up against a top fighter like Mikey. Please, let’s let this one go. It’s a mismatch, the more I think of it.

Loma called out Tank ***** David last year and Tank ran scarred under Floyd’s dress to play with his balls.

        You are a clown.

Berchelt and Machado, should be included in the 130 mini tournament.

whoever wins (I think Davis) gets Lomachenko

Pedrazas height reach and twitchy speed troubled Loma a little and he used those strengths the whole fight. Mikey style is nothing like that.

It'll still be a tough fight but it won't look like last night.

That’s one way of looking at it. Loma likes to feint guys out of position and use footwork to create angles. Pedraza was disciplined and wasn’t getting out of position...that’s mikey garcia’s bread and butter. He fights behind his jab, is always on balance and controls distance well. Those are the things that will give loma trouble imo, not so much the couple inches of reach that pedraza had on him.

I remember way back that Mikey was identified to struggle with fast, slick boxers. That was back when Mikey vs Linares was first discussed, and the back-chat then was that Linares had the style to beat Mikey. Of course Mikey vs Linares never happened, and there might be a reason for that.

However, the Loma vs Pedraza wasn't the prime Loma we are used to seeing (eg the one vs Linares), something was off. Maybe it was rust and the surgery, but it remains to be seen if he gets back to his Linares form. It wasn't just the lack of throwing his right, he wasn't turning Pedraza like he's done everyone else, so his feet weren't moving like usual either.

So a couple of unknowns if Loma gets in with Mikey at 135 - (1) what state will Mikey be back at 135 after gaining a lot of weight and a long, hard night with Spence (which is all but guaranteed) (2) has Loma lost something ?

We'll see, but I don't expect Mikey back at 135. I'd be far more interested in Mikey vs Prograis at 140 - now THAT would be interesting.
Well thought out, nonpartisan, great post.

I also doubt if Mikey will come back down to 135 because one, Lomachanko's style is difficult and the weight loss will only further his disadvantage Mikey.

A better, smarter avenue for Mikey would be to move back to 140lbs and grab a title, fight Progras or taunt Loma into moving up again to a weight that would clearly negate a stylistic advantage.

Mikey's camp are smart enough to figure this out and for that reason I suspect the 140lb division is where Mikey ends up.

Garcia will find a way to duck

we are looking at a Brook-Khan situation here

where one guy would rather get trounced by other opponents rather than fight and lose to a particular guy out of enmity

Garcia is Khan in this case, he'll find a way to duck Loma, even if that means losing to a more dangerous opponent

Well, if it’s gonna happen, it’s gonna happen, no matter what we say. I just don’t think it’ll be such a great fight. I think Lomachenko would be biting off more than he can chew. Pound for pound I think he’s better, and more exciting than Mikey, but the size difference will tell, in my opinion.
