I definitely think Wilder is handling this the wrong way, and its always pride that gets in the way when people are faced with these situations. Wilder's fight did more positive for him, IMO, than the Ortiz win. Fury beat Klitschko before AJ did and he performed at a high level against Wilder. Despite boxing at such a high level, Wilder dropped him twice when he landed cleanly and almost decapitated him in the 12th. Most people weren't downing Wilder so much as praising Fury's skill and resilience while also praising Wilder's power.

He should have spinned it as, "yeah, Fury is a great champion. The lineal champion and he was very skilled in there. It took me a while to adjust and he showed great heart when I landed. I dropped him twice and thought I won. I can promise in a rematch that I will finish this great champion and not leave it to the judges..."

The ancient Romans used to hype up and celebrate their enemy's ability to make their defeats understandable and victories look more impressive. If Wilder had done this, he would have just fed and nurtured the buzz he and Fury rightly earned with their epic fight. Fury is a skilled fighter but not always an exciting one, he needed a Wilder in there to make that fight dramatic and compelling. They should both be grateful for the other's performance in that ring, because without it they wouldn't be enjoying the buzz.

IT seems to be a little bit more to it than that. I would probably agree with u, but when Floyd ruthlessly dissed Andre Ward and Virgil Hunter I unfortunately had to come to the conclusion that he’s simply an unwarranted hater.

I play almost everyday,
there was 3 choices as far as 'straight' bets for the sides, and either the over/under on the total 9.5
Wilder was the favorite laying -170 to -150,
Fury was getting anywhere from 35 to 50 cents
and the draw was paying approx. 30-1
everything else available was props and exotics like round betting. Straight bets on either 'side' lost , as the draw was offered EVERYWHERE.

Then i got zero clue what you're confused about with what I'm saying.

The standard opening line has no draw option. A draw is a push in the standard betting line. Later on they come out with the either guy or draw option.

I'm not saying there isn't such a thing as 3 outcome bet or saying Floyd didn't bet on that specific option. I'm saying the 2 outcome bet is the standard & is the first, last & only line the average bettor sees. And I'm saying its more likely Floyd bet that option since it is the standard bet option on the fight.

The reason why you can't remember the specific issue is because it was probably a non-issue over dramatized by Floyd and some Floyd fans. Ward spat on his face in response? When has Ward been known to be catty? He talks trash to potential opponents.

Bottom line, no one can name one fighter Floyd has celebrated when he wasn't trying to sign them.
