Yeah I think they should have let Malik Scott continue ..but he took a dive against Deontay so you never know what Scott's intentions were. It was controversial tho:

He also wasn't REALLY winning that fight
"The fight itself wasn't much to look at, as Scott played his usual spoiler role and Chisora just kept bulling forward. The styles didn't really mesh for anything particularly entertaining, but it had been interesting at least, and the outcome was still in doubt. BLH had Scott up 48-47 after five rounds, but Chisora was doing a pretty good job pressuring, and Scott could easily have been down by the same score, too."

That was quite corrupt stoppage. Not just because he beat the 10 count, but because he was obviously lucid throughout.

A lot of refs will stop a guy if they are still rising at 9. It's their discretion I guess.

I'd rather they didn't and Wilder-Fury is a perfect example as to why.

Ref was ridiculous here, ****** "brit stoppage" that we should ALL WANT TO STOP including Mr Wilder...

This fight needed Jack reffing it...

Good to see Chisora sticking to the neutral corner though, not risking any chance of the count being paused by the ref noticing him breaking the rules and wandering about the ring.... eh Deontay...

I remember this, he is a known quitter and the ref probably knew he didn’t want to continue.

malik scott is mentally soft. i know he made a lot of money and had success, but he had better skills than his output and that's because he was mentally not a strong fighter.

he was completely coherent and he stood up at the very last second. it's basically asking the ref to stop the fight. behave like a professional and be ready by 8 seconds.

... "With 15 seconds left in the sixth round, Scott went down along the ropes from a right hand to the back of the ear, and took a knee, smiling. Scott got up at the count of nine, but then referee Edwards shouted "Out" anyway, ending the contest."

No, asking the ref to stop is getting up just after 10. 9 does not equal 10. And the count of "10" was immediately after the 9.
