This is the "Manny Pacquiao" "Floyd Mayweather" fight Khan has always been pursuing. When he was chasing those fights they were P4P the best fighters in the world. The income aside, they were the best and that's what Khan was chasing. Now he's got a chance to face arguably the best P4P fighter in the world today, Terence Crawford. Essentially this is that big fight he was yearning but with a different name. I think Khan has a chance to make it interesting because of his speed and footwork. But I also agree that Crawford is in his prime and has plenty of resources to defeat Khan especially his power. Solid fight in my opinion and one in which Khan desperately needs to win if he wants to leave boxing with a greater legacy.Comment

Absolutely. It would eliminate Khan's only viable remaining excuse. Even Hearn admitted that was the one factor that prevented the fight from happening.Comment

"In a heartbeat, I’d take that fight [with Crawford]. Because I really believe that the Kell Brook fight will always be there. Unless I get a brilliant deal that I can’t turn down." - Amir Khan
The name of game is called leverage! Khan is trying to get more from Eddie Hearn and Brook! I keep waiting to hear him say "I've signed a deal with Top Rank to fight Terence Crawford!" Yet, I keep hearing how it's a great opportunity, yada, yada, "but if I get something better..." Sign the deal! MAN UP!Comment

Bascially he has 2-3 knockout losses left in him before he's being spoon-fed in a home where. Crawford in maybe 4 rounds, Brook in 6 then hell rematch Garcia and go down all guns blazing doing that funny dance!Comment

I do get why he'd want to fight Crawford over Brook. Beating him gets him more credit internationally than Brook and he's got a world title.
But, just because you are fighting one of the pound for pound best doesn't mean that IF you beat him you become the P4P best. Not even close.Comment

I agree. No reason not to go there. Crawford has zero to worry about from Khan. He is a damaged fighter, older, and lost most of the edge he had. I have defended Khan. I think he has a decent career, and has taken on some good names. But he is cannon fodder at this point, and Craw Daddy can beat him in any way he wants. Why not go to England and do it there where he can earn some great coin and enhance his reputation?Comment

Khan might have more fights left than he thinks. Fans know who he is, and for some reason he is liked about as much as Broner is. Not too often you can watch a fight hoping to see one guy get ko'd and have that wish come true. He is a perfect opponent for the top welterweights. He brings ratings and an easy win. Low risk, high reward.Comment
