Truth is that AJ still brings more money to the table for a UK fight. Neither guy is getting 50% v AJ, even if everyone is talking about Fury and Wilder at this moment because they're still talking about their fight.

The tide will turn eventually though if Hearn is not careful. If these guys are fighting each other and he's not in the mix, his popularity will drop.

If Hearn is serious about AJ fighting these guys, he should make them a good offer before AJ's stock falls too much.
Yeah, neither can ask for a 50/50 split right now, but definitely can ask for a 60/40 split. But if Hearn drags this out and isn't careful, there is a good chance Wilder/Fury II does much better than the first fight and they will ask for a 50/50 split vs AJ. We went from people saying Wilder has no other option and he will only make a few million vs anyone else to now him having just as big of an option in the Fury rematch. Things change quickly. And I simply can't see Fury agreeing to anything less than a 50/50 split if he beats Wilder in the rematch. That PPV would do 2 million buys as stated and would be the biggest fight in UK history. And really biggest fight worldwide period.

I mean let's say AJ doesn't get Wilder/Fury in 2019, then does he go Whyte and then either Miller or Usyk? Wouldn't be terrible or anything, especially if he gets the Usyk fight. Just not a mega showdown of the caliber of the Wilder or Fury fights.

All roads lead to Anthony Joshua. My money is on Fury against Windmill Wilder 2 or AJ but Barry is right. They call the shots.

Wilder/Fury should do the rematch @ Wembley....it will be huge. We need to run this fight back. AJ needs to face Ortiz....but he won’t, and we all know why. Like Wilder said, AJ can go fight these other guys if he wants to be difficult.

          E. Hearn stated that he was going to try and start negotiations with Wilder the day after the fight because the timeline for negotiations were short for an April fight. Remember he gave us his matrix for what his offer would look like. Well, here we are, days later, and we still don't even know if Hearn and Joshua actually want a fight vs Wilder.

I call it running scared from a real challenge from fear that their golden goose might be defeated or worse KTFO...

So why aren't they calling the shot to fight Wilder or Fury in April?

.. well you lost that argument.

Klitschko would have fought Wilder in a heart beat easy win but Wilder wouldn't fight Klitschko when offered the fight ... Wilders cowardice over 40 fights caused this mess .

“Look, (Wilder) is a baby winning the title. It was his first title fight, they'll be a time for unification, they'll be a time for all those things, he could go and Povetkin (the No. 2 contender) in Russia and make $10 million,” Finkel said to the Tuscaloosa News. “It's not the right thing yet. Give him a couple of fights, maybe bring something back to Alabama. Let him develop just like any other athlete. They don't take someone who is a great college prospect and throw him right in. And this kid is a great prospect.”

Fact is last weekend the best fought the best, and they keep putting AJ in with C class talent. AJ going to end up losing to 1 of these C class guys and their whole plan is going to end up backfiring. AJ is not getting any younger himself.
Hearn should know that by the garbage shows he's been putting on. nothing but empty seats. AJ will never sell out any stadium here in the US and would be lucky to do 100k US PPVs with who he has been fighting. Hearn cant even get more than 5k to come see Jacobs in the NY and that's his hometown.

Exactly. Boxing is a corrupt enterprise masquerading as a sport. Sad, that fighters have to contend with this corruption. Money touches everything. Power, money, and greed fuel the bad decisions in boxing. It is not a one off judge, it is systemic approach of garnering power and judges continuing to the bidding of their masters. Keep the house guy winning at all costs, even if the sport has no credibility.
But Hearn is correct, and boxing has always been about money.

... If Wilder can make $25-30 million in the rematch, then he should sit back and relax...
