Vanes didn't wanna stay with haymon due to inactivity lol. Despite that haymon got him some pretty solid fights, he would have been better off staying with him but to each man his own. I personally don't think this dude is too bright.

Inactivity wasn't the issue; Vanes lost three world title fights, wanted another world title shot quick, Haymon didn't have a quick route for him, Vanes asked for his release and got it, and then Vanes signed with Don King because, somehow, King was going to deliver him his title shot.

Nearly two years sitting around, King gets him the chance to get blitzed by Golovkin on week's notice.

If he'd stuck with Haymon, 2-3 fights likely gets him another world title shot.

Not gonna lie at one point that 154lb stable at PBC had zero traction and even today I wouldnt say theres that much goin on. theres plenty of fights to be made but things still seem to be moving in slow motion.

I would say Vanes shoulda stuck around but who are we to say. If you have a family to feed and this is your job and youre not getting enough work what else can you do?

A lot of the PBC guys don't seem to mind the long lay offs but then again those are the guys getting paid high purses for soft touches. I don't think Vanes fell into that category

This sounds kinda ****** to me that their boxing in a cage,I too wanna hear the rules etc.,like do they get to wear shoes,& what happens when a boxer gets cut up & put in a coma in the 1st rd because a huge puncher smashed their head into the cage? Unlike mma, boxers punch powerfully enough to truly smash heads open on a cage.

How do they not realize that its harder to cut off a giant circle than it is a 15x15 square? Its the first thing you notice as a fight fan watching MMA. It leads to karate pajama sissies running around making the fights boring. If they wanted to take a good element from MMA they should do boxing with elbows, or boxing with knees.
