No, watch him fight. That is not hype.

And if he is hype, why don't other heavyweights want to fight him? Only valid excuse is PED's, but there are plenty of guys out there willing to fight Povetkin. Why not Ortiz? See, the fighters themselves, they always know.

Regardless of what any of us have to say, the fighters themselves who go into the ring, they know who they do and don't want to fight against and it speaks for itself.

Look at Errol Spence for instance...you don't see anyone calling his name in that loaded divison while he holds a belt. Is he "hype"?

He fought one decent opponent and got stopped. And he sure as **** wasnt outboxing him like a rusty fury did. Hes overrated and now hes old. Joyce demolishes him, thats a horrible match up for an old guy with slow feet

Ortiz beat Thompson and jennings before fighting Wilder. Joyce fought only unknown bums.

I hope so. I like what i've seen from him thus far, he's not hard to hit though. He isn't getting any younger either, neither is Ortiz for that matter

Hopefully they make this fight happen next. No problem if both guys want it and are with Haymon

Ortiz may not have the most fans, but even the haters have to agree he ducks no one. I happen to like the guy, and like his fighting style. And I think Joyce is making a seriously reckless decision this early into his career. He must be believing the hype he reads in the press about himself, and what his people tell him. Never a smart move. Remember, Hanks was clocking Joyce steadily right out the gate, even if he was stopped. And Ortiz comes out the gate very active. IMO Ortiz stops Joyce mid/late rounds in a competitive fight.

                "early into his career"

at the same time...hes 33 already.....this is one way when you start late....the other is you end up at ortiz's age with a thin resume.......so joyce physically isnt gonna get much better...he might as well go for it now

That's right King Kong, that's how you tell these #Twinkies that don't want the fights! Let's make them match ups!

Ortiz was underwhelming vs Allen, Scott, Kaufmann. He looks like he's there to be beat by a guy with good movement but Joyce is going to come straight at him. Good for fans but probably bad for Joyce. Good to see him rolling the dice though.
