Negotiating ploy for a Joshua fight , trying to gain leverage when they are around the table..nothing wrong with it , he just playing the game , it's business.

No, I do not think it did. I am fine with the thought of Fury winning. And I was in the crowd that said Fury was a name only, easy win for Wilder. I predicted a round 8 KO win for Wilder. But the fight is what it is: Fury came out, dealt with a set back in a knockdown, but was in control of the fight. Now, a lesser man would have wilted. Lesser boxers would have deflated. Wilder plain flat did not. He may only have a couple of tricks in his limited pony show, but he kept FIGHTING. He was rewarded with a gut check, completely exhausted, but still all in come from behind knockdown which was a whisker hair of ending the bigger, durable fighter who was winning. Wilder has given a ton of credit to Fury, and is willing to give him another shot when he does not have to. Just like when Ortiz was beating him around the ring, Wilder has shown championship pedigree in his ability to recover and go all in when challenged.

Fury's stock has risen, that is the bigger story here But that does not mean Wilder's stock has fallen.

Fury was the road to a AJ showdown/payday. Wilder met a roadblock and now has to regroup and get passed that roadblock (tyson fury). Without a rematch and a decisive victory over fury, wilder will not get that reward. This last fight ending in a draw definitely caused Wilder valuable negotiating power with AJ for any future fight. And TF is still the lineal champion. Wilder made a big mistake looking passed Fury and it has, and will cost him time and money. Sucks for Wilder.

Fury doesn`t need that. AJ -Fury is a huge fight now.

Wilder has hit the ceiling as far as learning goes. He hit it well over seven years ago. He doesn't strike me as an intelligent person who can easily grab ideas into the skull, no matter how little. The toolbox is full yet empty.

Wilder needs Fury. Fury doesn't need Wilder. Everyone needs Joshua. Joshua needs Wilder (WBC belt). Joshua needs Fury (Legitimise all three belts, whatever that means). If all that is anything to go by, Fury/Wilder( II ) goes out of the picture. Leaving us with two possible bouts. As long as money proves an issue with AJ/Wilder, Joshua should go for Fury in Wembley, and do the rematch in Las Vegas, and then see where Wilder or the WBC strap is by then.

More skilled fighter usually wins second fight. Floyd -maidana, Canelo -GGG, Ward -Kovalev, Bradley -pacquiao..
