Comments Thread For: Roach: Fury Showed Tremendous Balls Getting Up In 12th Round

LOS ANGELES Once Tyson Fury fell flat on his back in the 12th round Saturday night, Freddie Roach assumed Deontay Wilder finally had landed a punch punishing enough to end their fight. Roach, Fury's assistant trainer, was stunned when Fury popped up to barely beat referee Jack Reiss' count. The brave Brit didn't just reach his feet he landed hard shots of his own that made Wilder retreat and kept the unbeaten WBC heavyweight champion from hurting him again before the final bell sounded.

Why would wilder insert a re match clause if he won or drew ? Doesen't make sense as it's a volantary defence , may be roach were told there is a clause but don't understand the conditions, wouldn't surprise me sadly as the man is not 100% well.

What happened to that "ancestry spirit" that was supposed to go inside of Wilder in the fight?

Fury has that fighting spirit where he doesn't know when to stay down.

The ref should have called that fight of after the 12th round knock out.
In all honesty that should of been a Wilder win.
We all knew that Fury would box Deontays ears of but we did not know if Wilder would get the K/O.
Well he got it but the ref was willing to let serious harm done to Fury when he let him get up.
I've never seen a ref allow a fighter to continue after such a brutal knock out combo.

You Wilderiots never know when to admit your guy was embarrassed for the vast majority of the fight now do you? BTW, it was a knockDOWN, not a knockOUT. Get your head fixed. It's broken.
