Judges scoring has been a complete disaster this year. It is something that is starting to drive me away from boxing

Hows that embarrassing he knocked him down twice one time knocking him out. The ref waited and counted and that was a long ass 10 count

Not to mention the 80s, and even the late 70s.

Let me tell you, I believe that people like Mike Weaver and Michael Dokes at their peak would knock out Wilder and Joshua easily, and would definitely give Fury a harder time than Wilder did.

Who said Wilder couldn't beat Ortiz? Wilder was a big favourite in that fight for anyone who does not have Cuban heritage.
By your reckoning everyone except Fury and Joshua is a step backwards for Wilder. Now he's fought Fury, will Wilder retire immediately after fighting Joshua? He may as well as everyone else will be a backwards step. Povetkin, Pulev, Miller, Whyte, Parker; not worth fighting any of them, let alone the likes of Kownacki and Joyce who are coming up the rankings. Never mind that these names make up most of the top 15 in any of the independent rankings along with Joshua, Wilder and Fury; they're obviously not worth fighting.

Once you are at the top, you fight the challengers. He’s trying to get to the top. So yes; unless it’s a mandatory it’s a step back and shouldn’t happen.

And you seem to have revisionist history. The wilder/Ortiz fight was considered a 50/50 fight with other fighters saying wilder was insane to give Ortiz a voluntary shot.

What a ******. So fighters shouldn't take challengers unless they are at the top?

Wilder just ****ing lost. If not for the robbery he'd be behind Whyte on every ranking out there.

I hate all this long ass count nonsense, ect, same with douglas vs Tyson. The fighter responds to the referees count, not official time. Also, two knockdowns is two points, not ten. To top it off, the notion that Fury can't get better is laughable. Hadn't fought a live body for three years going into the fight, beat addiction and massive mental problems, and his body had to deal with losing ten stone in under one year! Can't get any better? Yeah right! Deontay has great power and athleticism, as well as heart, but him and his team can be so naive. He'd beat Joshua though, without a doubt.

Which other fighters? Most of the ones I remember having a comment on it were slating him for fighting a 50 year old asthmatic with a heart condition. The others were questioning why a known multiple time drug cheat was getting a title shot instead of a lifetime ban from the sport.
Regarding mandatories; Breazeale and Whyte were sitting as 1 & 2 for over a year, and neither got a shot before Ortiz who had only just been reinstated following a 2nd ban, and then Fury who had also only just been reinstated following a ban. Neither of them were the top ranked WBC contender at the time of their title shots.
