Comments Thread For: Fury: I Have a Feeling Wilder Will Run, Avoid Rematch at All Costs!

Tyson Fury said on Monday WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder will try to avoid a rematch with him "at all costs" after their epic draw in Los Angeles. Wilder retained his belt on Saturday after a thrilling 12-round battle ended in a split decision draw at the Staples Center. The result means the American is still in a position to achieve his dream of unifying the heavyweight division against Fury's fellow Briton Anthony Joshua, who holds the WBA, IBF and WBO versions of the title.

    I scored it a draw...

I am one of the most unbiased posters on this site. After watching this fight I scored it 113-113. 7 rounds to 5 for Fury but the difference was the 2 knock downs. I gave Fury rounds 1,3,6,7,8,10 & 11. I gave Wilder rounds 2,4,5, 9 & 10. The 5th round was the one round Fury gave away as he threw very little & landed only few punches. Wilder may have missed a lot in that round but he was busier & landed a few shots. That was a very close round & hard to score but I gave it to Wilder for his activity level. As for the controversy on the KDs. Both KDs Reiss did the same thing. He gave him the count & asked Tyson to walk away & back. Some people were saying that he gave Fury extra time to recover. Well I timed it. Fury was up at 9 & by the time he called them to fight it was 21.11 seconds from the time he hit the canvas. Reiss may have allowed Fury a couple extra seconds but that was it. Kudos to Reiss for not calling off the fight when Tyson was laying on his back. Good fight but Wilder's eraser right hand made the difference again. Both KDs were started by the right & followed with a left. 113-113 on my card...Let's do it again!

Seems Fury stock has gone up but we both now AJ doesn't want to fight fury. Deontay please get an new trainer you not ready yet to face a elite boxer. You may be netter suited for AJ but now he will just try to out box you.

Not a chance!! Bring on the rematch.

Wilder would've done 15 rounds if they'd let him.

He was finding his punches towards the end of the fight.

He now has 100% confidence that he can drop and hurt Fury.

I agree because of the KD's that is 4rounds to Wilder the correct result was a draw, some rounds where close and could of gone either way. Wilder will take the rematch some are suggesting he won't Wilder knows Tyson doesn't have the power to hurt him but Wilder does as proven in the 12th so Wilder will work on getting him earlier. I don't think anyone thought he would outbox Tyson but finish him off with power shots which almost came to fruition. The rematch in March in the States either Vegas or New York

Sure,he also knows Tyson is going to get up . He will also know that this hard brutal fight would have got Tyson really match fit.Wilder would be better off taking his chances with Joshua if Hearn will let go of more than 85% of the pot which is hardly going to happen.Wilder fought a good fight the best he could , it's just that Tyson's skills are so much better and i'd pick him to be even sharper and better next time.

Wilder was holding on and relieved it was over at the end and celebrated a draw. He'll probably be steered away and he'll be fine with that knowing this was a cherry pick gone wrong. Now Fury's got more rounds under his belt, will be in better shape and better prepared it's an even easier fight for him.

12-0 next time or KO with Fury winning every round until the KO.
