We stayed in downtown LA, at a place called Hotel Figueroa, it was close to the arena as well so was ideal. The fight was exactly a week before my birthday, so we kinda turned it into an early birthday present. Got to go to a Lakers game as well which was quality.

I had it 114-112 Fury on the night but most of my friends who watched it on TV had it a lot wider also. So I’ve got to watch it back.
    Fury definitely won, regardless.
I work right by there. That's great you got to see both. I still haven't gone to a Laker game since Lebron started but will do soon enough.

Yeah, 114-112 seems a little too Wilder friendly IMO. You got a little bit of rain here which is pretty rare but nice weather for the most part lately with evenings getting a little chilly but nothing compared to over there of course.

but putting all that to one side...

The fight was GREAT! It was a massive win for boxing. For the first time in over a decade big time HW boxing is BACK in the US. The whole event just felt big, I was at both this fight and Canelo-GGG 2 and honestly, inside the arena the excitement for this fight felt bigger. The atmosphere in that 12th round was unbelievable!
And it will only get bigger, the rematch sells itself and the fans will get another huge fight between Wilder and Fury, as it has now become the most relevant fight in the division.

AJ on the other hand, is now on the outside looking in, whilst he makes meaningless defenses against Whyte, Pulev etc, how will he be able to justify these humdrum matchups? When Fury and Wilder are having a MASSIVE rematch, and doing what AJ isn’t fighting the BEST possible opposition, each other!

The landscape of the HW division has been altered and has changed for the better, 2 of the 3 best HW’s are stepping up to the plate, let’s hope the third guy joins the party...
Absolutely, man. I loved the build-up to this fight all last week and quite enjoyed seeing two guys get in the ring for the fans' benefit. Wilder and Fury both won this weekend. I loved when Fury called AJ out after the fight with Wilder laughing along. These two deserve lots of praise.

AJ can step up and I think he will but he's going to have to make it happen. Doubts are setting in...

That’s the first NBA game, I’ve ever been to, been a basketball fan for years but just never got round to it.
The weather was fine, the humidity wasn’t too bad either, I usually really struggle with the humidity on the west coast but had no real problems.

I gave him 2 of the first 8 rounds purely based on aggression, but I probably couldn’t see how effective his aggression was. Most people who’s opinion I respect have told me they gave Fury 7/8 of the first 8, so I’d concur with that.

The whole event went perfectly IMO, culminating in a much more exciting fight than most expected. I was worried how this fight would be received, but it exceeded my expectations in terms of buzz generated, a considerable amount of Brits travelled over as well.
Despite the controversy, I think both guys will get rewarded financially with an even bigger rematch, which I can’t wait to see.

I wouldn't say hes doing nothing. He was on Sky Sports saying he wants one of them in April, Hearn been dispatched to LA to meet Wilders entourage. Fury on breakfast TV saying he wants Joshua next. Wilders camp seem to be swerving the rematch.

We all know that’s just talk though. AJ-Whyte is a LOCK for 13/04/19 providing Whyte gets past Chisora.
