Comments Thread For: Wilder-Fury Lived Up To Expectations - And Then Some

LOS ANGELES - The heavyweight clash between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury lived up to the expectations (and then some) of boxing fans. It was a very good prizefight between two fighters with the gift of gab, who insulted one another and almost went to blows at Wednesday's press conference, but earned each other's respect to embrace after the fight on Saturday night.

All one has to do is watching each fighter's reaction after the final bell. Wilder knew he had lost.

Tyson Fury's brains have been done worse by Deontay 'Bronze-Bomber' Wilder than all the crack Tyson smoked in his entire life!

Haha yeah.. One guy smiling and beaming at getting the draw..

The other looks incredibly disappointed after not only dominating 12 rounds but also getting up after a bad KD.. and still winning the rest of the round!

And although Fury was a lot closer to his best than his detractors (me included) thought he could be, he still was not at 100%. He tired slightly after 8, hence how Wilder finally managed to clock him.
Hopefully this prompts Wilder to accept the offer to fight Joshua in Wembley next April. Fulfilling the mando' against Breazeale will pay peanuts in comparison, and surely the WBC can't put that off any longer for anything other than a unification? Time for the bomb squad to cash out.

The purse amount is what will drive Wilder's decision. If Hearn guarantees a purse larger than what Wilder would get in a Fury rematch, then he'll fight Joshua, if not he'll fight Fury. This means that Hearn can't lowball Wilder and expect him to sign a contract. Wilder probably has only two large paydays left then he's history.

This photoshop is very funny Hanz, This is a very accurate description of what is left of Tyson Fury. Deontay does not know about being beaten so brutally that witnesses actually thought you died.

******** en****** around the world won big with the draw. They didn't pay out anyone who bet Fury or Wilder. They pulled the same scam with GGG and Canelo. (The banning of certain words on this site is so ****** and arbitrary. I used the word entity in the plural form above.)

If Wilder doesn't get that knock down in the 12th, then the fight is an 11-1 or a 10-2 UD in reality. The knock down in the 12th made the fight compelling, but the fight was a clear boxing lesson given by Fury to Wilder up to that point.
