No matter what anyone else - including the judges - say. Fury won the fight, and won my utter admiration after years spent thinking of him as someone who would be exposed by his first decent opponent (I did not consider Klitschko as such in 2015, in fact I won money on Fury winning that fight).

That he rose from that knockdown in the 12th is alone something to be astonished by. What a willpower.

Good article. Fury won that fight and the sport has been robbed of one of the greatest comeback stories.

Alejandro Rochin is American. Americans don't like to own up. When someone of dual nationality did well he's American, if he did badly he's not

That’s funny I actually watched the fight unlike you which is now obvious but he was cited as being from Mexico.... play again

"Fury’s head smacked against the canvas"

Why perpetuate this complete untruth? It seems that these days the narrative is far more important than the facts.

              Blame America??

The judge who scored it a draw is from th UK u idiots. Lol stop listening to commentating and pay attention to the fight. Drop ur emotuin for his back story and take the facts. Fury was knocked down twice. Thats the equvalint to wilder winning 4 rounds right there. All wilder needed in top of that was another few rounds. It wasnt a robbery. It was close and had fury stayed up the ending would be different. Cant get careless in the championship rounds. Everyone and their grandma knows that its funny how these sports analyst and commentators get u all so emotional by building up the fight like some movie and using furys drug addiction to turn him into some hero lol u start acting like they should score based on his back story so some idiot director can make another rocky like movie about Fury lol it was a draw. Get over it.

Look people I’m a wilder fan I ordered the fight I saw from round 1-12. The fight was in fury hands honestly I think it could have been either way. They credited wilder big time with the two knock downs cause I honestly feel he was behind. I’m ok with the draw. Fury never had wilder hurt and wilder had fury hurt big time. But fury outboxed wilder from beginning to end. Me personally I think wilder fell into fury trap which I hate. But blah blah blah it was a good fight in my opinion. There needs to be a rematch. I gained a lot of respect for fury after that one. Still can’t stand aj but fury got me as a fan for now on.

Fury won, Wilder was given far too much credit for the knockdowns. He won 4 rounds at best, and the 4th one which I scored to him I was being kind.

I'm a Wilder fan. I had the fight 114-112 for Fury, with Wilder taking rounds 2, 5, 9 and 12. I thought Fury took Round 1 with the late flurry, but all three judges scored it for Wilder. If Round 1 goes to Wilder, it's a draw. I really don't see this as a robbery, but again I'm a Wilder fan so I'm probably biased.

On the official scorecards, the only thing I couldn't understand was Rojin scoring rounds 3 and especially 8 for Wilder. Both of those were clear Fury rounds. If Rojin scores 3 and 8 for Fury, it's a majority draw instead of a split draw. Analogous to Adelaide Byrd's GGG-Canelo 1 card, it's not the final result that stinks so much as the rounds that were clearly scored incorrectly.

Fury's head did not smack the canvas. Watch the replay.

All that said, utmost respect to Tyson Fury. For him to come back from what he did and be so gracious with the bad decision is unbelievable. He was legitimately concerned that the UK/Irish fans would riot if he instigated it. What a class act. A great man.

And one quibble with the headline: Tyson Fury's story is not over...
