Did Fury make a tactical error in the 12th or do we give Wilder credit?

Wilder actually threw a straight punch is what happened. Pulled down fury’s hand after the jab so he couldn’t block

To be honest having watched it a few times I don’t think wilder even connected that badly, i think he was a bit exhausted by that point. Had he done that earlier in the fight it would have been over as he would’ve held more power on the punch

Both. Fury made a tactical error and Wilder,an empty, drained, tired Wilder stumbling around in the last round of a fight he was about to lose, saw 1 tactical error and instantly landed a combo that would normally end a fight. You gotta give credit to Wilder for that. It was excellent by Wilder.

If you look, Wilder actually blinded Fury with the left before coming with his straight right. Something Wlad is a master of. Fury just didn't see the shot coming. Wilder is as Fury said lightning fast with his shots. Maybe Fury could have been a bit more cautious but just a nice shot by Wilder.

Wilder was 1 second away from doing what he always does...Credit to both guys. But Wilder needs to add to his arsenal

Yep for sure, it feels like someone said it was long and now a few people have jumped on the bandwagon.

The count was pretty much spot on, there is always a slight delay, like one second or so which is normal, it's a human function. Jack Reiss picks up the count at 4 and you actually see Fury visibly come back to consciousness at 5, and you see this realisation in his face like "where am I, **** I better get up" and he makes it up at 9.

Reiss does the right thing by checking him over and Fury actually puts his arms on the ref and Reiss pushes his arms away so Fury can't lean on him. There was nothing wrong with the count or the refereeing, it was very good in fact. He accounted for the fact that these guys were fighting for the WBC heavyweight championship.

              Unbelievably dramatic last round

I slightly disagree, Fury bent down to his right which he did with great effect the whole fight, but on tgat occasion he started doing the move from too far out and Wilder measured where his head would be. I'll try to embed a video of it later

Not sure it made a pretty decent thudding noise, you could argue Fury would not have lapsed earlier, or he would he was taking punches better when he was fresh

I think that, along with Fury's incredible heart getting up from that punch, Wilder's true grit is one of the least talked about stories of the fight.

By round 12, Deontay had to know it was close, had to know it was all on the line, that he needed a big round.

And he went out there and got one.

                    That what champions do.

He thought he had Wilder figured out and could avoid any big shots but still try and win the round.
He got caught with a bomb and was lucky to get up. I thought the fight was over the way he landed.
