I thought the Steverne KO by Wilder was more brutal, but, Stevenson's happened late in the fight after already absorving a lot of punishment. Sometimes being stubbornly tough is bad for a fighter's health. Hope he didn't suffer permanent damage.

Let's hope Stevenson will be OK after last night. Watching the fight, I was thinking Stevenson has a great chin but what kind of damage are these head shots doing to him?
It's amazing the injury the brain can sustain and still keep you upright, whereas a well placed liver shot most times ends the fight, no matter what the brain wants to do. In the long run, it's the head shots that are the most damaging.
