RE La Motta, it's much worse.

I read his Raging Bull book. It's an eye opener that they glorified him. Probably due to statute of limitations over, IMO, he revealed that he brutally ****d a ****** who was too frightened or traumatized to tell cops. In the book, he wrote that he was impotent unless he was raping.

He robbed a candy store and beat the owner IIRC with a pipe and thought he murdered him. He wrote that he sweated a bust for 15 years or so till he saw the guy alive.

And I read Vicki's book too. She wrote that he was cheating on her, not the other way around. Both were good books but be prepared, there are unpleasant things in them
