Jeez. This is why taking it in your hands on the road is so damn important. Even-though it looked like Gvoz was winning from our vantage point, we never know what the judges are seeing (or not seeing). In hindsight, Teddy's instructions before the 11th carries much more significance.
What they saw was giving Stevenson a pass in round 2 when he clearly got caught flush with that right hand plus he landed a few decent shots in 7,8 or 9 but I had Stevenson behind by 3 points I saw him getting tired in round 5
They would've definitely robbed Gvozdyk if it went to the scorecards. Stevenson was losing but he wasn't getting dominated or beat up. That's a recipe for a gift decision.
I think Gvozdyk could've closed the show earlier if he listened to Atlas who told him to fight the same way he started and finished the rounds.
Stevenson was a decent champion but he squandered his career. I thought he would survive to the final bell. It's a good thing for Gvozdyk he stopped him.
Thank you. Mobile phone didn't show that, now looking on notebook.
Scorings are bad. 2 of those are awful at least. And one of those two awful is just a ***ing corrupting disgrace.
Just saw those cards in detail, Jesus they were bad. I had it 6-4 with Gvozdyk winning the 11th before the stoppage. While on points it could have been close, I scored it conservatively and gave Stevenson what I considered close rounds due to the fact he was the champ and fighting at home (1st, 2nd, a round in the middle where he landed the hardest shot and the 10th where the ropes saved Gvozdyk)...I still felt that The Nail clearly won 6 rounds and could have won 7 of the first 3.
Sorry if we got class dude... Best man won, and in fashion... Adonis only had pops of goodness throughout the fight and was overwhelm ... Props to Gvozdyk
Im from Montreal....I know people are not really fan of Stevenson....
