    PPV.

    Boxing is dead in America.

To make it big you have to be a social media star and get fanboys.

Americans are rarely interested in boxing just for boxing sake, they have to be fanboys.

You just have to look on here. Sure you got your hardcore boxing fans, but you also get your fanboys.

Just not enough real boxing fans in America who like the sport. And PPV is the main reason for this

If Joshua were from New York he would sell out the Garden easily. Would sell out in a day and would be a household name.

If Canelo were born in the midwest somewhere his popularity would sore even more.

Mayweather and Oscar both were massive PPV stars not long ago.

Wilder is just uninteresting and no average American person gives a *** about him and that's just the truth.

As an outsider looking in. The NFL and NBA had there college schooling and media training. They come across as smart guys and roll models for kids. Parents don't want there kids aspiring to boxing because the role models are Tyson (convicted rapist) ... Etc. It is grossly unfair as the IQ of the average boxer is higher that the average soccer player in UK once you factor in background. Boxing in the UK doesn't have this stigma to the same extent. The crowds that watch are smarter and more racially mixed than soccer. Everybody gets dressed up. Gangs of women go. It's a night out.

          1. He was moved along slowly so he hasn't fought many big names and thus hasn't had large exposure.

          2. He doesn't speak that well.

2a. He keeps talking about killing people.

he has no real personality. he tries way too hard to come off like a crazy man he ends up looking ******ed. knock outs alone won't do it of course those knocks out came against tomato cans that also doesn't help.

If Wilder was a bum for 39 of his fights, then it was bum vs bum. Let him prove himself tonight.

He's really ****** and I mean really. Also uninteresting, lacks personality, and says alot of questionable things. Yea he knocks people out but His fights aren't that exciting until he gets the k.o.

No, the reason he is not a star, is because he fights bums. Had he tried to unify or if he fought good opponents, he would be a PPV star by now. Instead he fights the like of Szpilka, Washington, Arreola and the rest. 2 decent opponents out of 40 does not make you a PPV star or well known.
