Comments Thread For: Adonis Stevenson on Wilder: I've Never Seen Power Like That!

Southpaw Adonis Stevenson and Deontay Wilder are two of boxing's fiercest and most powerful knockout artists, and "Superman" and "The Bronze Bomber" will defend their respective WBC 175-pound and WBC heavyweight crowns from separate sites on Saturday night.

Wilder's power is overrated. The only two fights that matter in his career - Stiverne I and Ortiz - where was that power? Stiverne had Wilder fighting on his back foot and ate everything he threw. Ortiz took him to the deep water. All the other fights don't even matter and were either tomato cans or an out-of-shape, washed up Stiverne in the rematch.

No. Wilder didn't get the KO in the 1st Stiverne fight, but he dominated that fight. Watch again. Ortiz definitely brought it to Wilder, but look how it ended. Just out of curiosity, which fighters do you like and why?

Whatever his power he looked like an idiot in that mask at the weigh in. How can he think he is enhancing his ppv and crossover appeal by rocking the halloween look?

If Wilder obliterates Fury, then he is the baddest man on the planet. Of course, Ernie Shavers, Foreman, Lewis and Tyson were all devastating punchers, and one cannot rate Wilder's power above theirs. That is, because of the level of competition those great fighters had to deal with.

Then again, are we really sure Wilder's mental health is REALLY better than Fury's?

Fyi, WILDER broke his hand the 1st STIVERNE fight in the 7th round and still dominated for the win. He also stopped both ORTIZ and STIVERNE. Power is power!!
