People act like a manager is gonna hide options from his client. Thats a highly dumb move since the manager makes money off of his client's paydays & the more he gets his client the bigger his cut ends up being.

But to me that offer sounded weak. $3M to cross the street when he's making $1.5M-$2M on his side of the street ain't a big enough bump. And there is a leverage thing going on here to. Who the f#ck is Bud going to fight if not a PBC guy that anyone cares about? Top Rank isn't taking that reality seriously cuz if he was he'd know he needs to sweeten the pot to make it worth Danny's time.

Garcia only made $1.2M for the Porter fight, which was a big fight. Wilder-Fury PPV purses just came out (which is a bigger fight than Crawford-Garcia) and they're making $4M and $3M respectively. Danny Garcia won't get $3M anywhere else.

kenny porter is pretty pivotal in his sons life....if someone wants to fight shawn they go through them good ole boys....watson/haymon....yeah i know sr isnt as intricate as angel....but it makes no difference......it doesnt matter...flyd sr, kenny porter or angel...u wanna fight one of their sons u go to the most powerful man in boxing

al has his own program to run....he may prefer to put danny in with one of his other fighters to get 2 guys in on one date and network....so in order to try and break that up, if you are an outsider, you present an offer to haymon.......

haymon has more power in the sport and business than angel...angel runs barber shops and his daughters' rap career......negotiating tv and network deals with a rival promter is not amongst angels level of expertise

Why do you regard Al so highly? If he is the most powerful man in boxing then surely he is a large part for the current decline in boxing in the US.

None of his current fighters are on or near Floyd level in anyway and seem to have large periods of inactivity.

Plus I'm sure you would have been quick to moan when Hearn said that all the middle weight title fights will be on DAZN as they will have all the titlists but it's okay for Haymon/PBC to freeze Crawford out even though he's actually a title holder himself.

I don't get this fanboyism protection of promoting company's and their advisers at all costs. You got guys saying who has Crawford fought a top level but these PBC fightersare the guys at top level that he should be fighting he proved he was dominant by below so he's gonna at least be competive up one class and he's got a title that's got to be worth it just taking that if he's no good.

i regard al highly because hes been involved in some of the biggest fights the sport has ever seen

bob arum once told floyd hed lose money to do an oscar fight ...bob arum shortchanged floyd...yet al got it all right

guys like floyd dont come around often....and he may be building something decent with wilder if wilder can hold up his end of the bargain by winning

the problem for crawford is that al has a bunch of good/compelling matchups he can make in house...if al didnt have options for spence, danny, porter, thurman and mikey then hed prob have to go get crawford....he doesnt have that problem

but the reality is...crawford is facing a crap situation and he knows it...which is why hes tossing dannys name out there to act like hes trying....hes going for the lowest hanging fruit......because he knows he needs to save face...hes got a crap fight again and he has to try to sway the fans from losing interest in him

dannys father isnt the one filling pbc dates on multiple networks...als team does that...so if al has plans to match danny up with another one of his fighters you have to change HIS mind not angels
