I really feel Tua could have been a lot more successful, he just never had the knack to break the better boxers down, like Byrd and Lewis, he just never had the fundamentals needed to be truely successful. Looks to be too little too late now for him.Comment

hes easing back into it becuz these are the only opponents he can beat anymoreOriginally posted by neils7147933He had a fight reported for America's Fight Night on Showtime with Shannon Briggs that got called off immediately - and he's been linked to a fight with Calvin Brock.
Tua's easing back into the division tentatively because that's how he wants it, not because there aren't bigger fights out there...Comment

We're never going to see a prime Tua again, but if he could get into half decent shape he could still give us some great fights. Maybe after the law suits are finished he'll get off his ass and make a serious comeback attempt.Comment

Have you even seen him fight? Apart from his left hook. he had a good uppercut, good overhand right, which wasn't telegraphed, and was a good body puncher, and he looked to have good killer instinct to me, once he had the guy hurt of course. Just lacked some fundamentals which stopped him from getting to the very top, thats all.Originally posted by yrrejTua never had much on the ball. Slow feet, limited punching repertoire, not enough killer instinct. Too bad.Comment

once tua would start getting outboxed(lewis, rahman, byrd, etc) he wouldn't get aggressive enough to break a guy down and stop him... he would just look to land the one big punch to end the fight.. it worked against oleg and izon, but failed him later..Comment
