ortiz got slower since the wilder fight....yet knocked a guy out in 2 rounds that parker couldnt???
lol...okkkkkkkk
Cojanu isn't exactly known for his speed or quick feet.... he stood in the pocket and was KO'd. I'm not doing triangle theories here.
Ortiz had 2 poor performances in which he looked slow, then took a year off and came back against Martz for 3 minutes. In my opinion he looked slow against Martz and Wilder.... he especially slowed down after 5 rounds against Wilder.
If he fights Joshua next year he will 100% have deteriorated further from those fights, and will be far away from the fighter who beat Jennings.
I'd pick Joshua but Ortiz is live against everyone. Honestly I rank him 4th and would pick him to beat everyone beneath. Obviously hes a risk that Whyte wouldn't dare take after his bluff was called.
Id rank Wilder/Fury winner 1 and loser 3 unless its a crazy blowout. Joshua2
Ortiz4
Whyte5
Pulev6
Miller6
D.Wilder vs Aj
King Kong vs Aj
Jermall Charlo vs Triple L
The top and the bottom are great fights.
I don’t understand why everyone is so keen to shoe horn Ortiz into that AJ fight.
Certainly not ahead of Whyte or Miller. Fair enough if he beats one of them.
I’m trying to think of similar fighter in terms of status afforded compared to actual success in another division that people are so keen to crow bar into a title shot.
I’m not saying he’s not good but it’s just a bit odd.
Even Hunter smashing Ustinov exceeds anything Ortiz has in the win column recently.
If I wanted to root for a voluntary that AJ could lose I think I’d hedge my bets on Miller.
That's awfully generous of Wilder. If he doesn't get AJ next year, then he would eventually fight Luis Ortiz and Dominic Breazeale next as mandatory defenses of his WBC title.

after 5 rounds against wilder he had already tasted wilders power and hit the canvas
i dont like triangle theories either...but lets face it...if ortiz is ****...so is parker....thats just facts....parker was never anything...yet when AJ beat him somehow the AJ fans had to make him out to be something he isnt...and they did the same to ortiz...when wilder beat him he was utter **** but before that he was dangerous and wilder was "avoiding him"

I never said Ortiz was ****, just that he had declined and got slower. He had only fought 3 minutes in over a year before Wilder. His match fitness was more questionable than Fury's to be honest, who at least got rounds in recently.
Parker is still a good boxer and proven 12 round fighter. At least Parker has fought good opposition in Fury, Joshua and Whyte and is a proven good/decent fighter, and fit.... Ortiz is unproven and unfit.
