Stepped up to what though? He stepped up to the divisions last dominant king, he's stepped up to 2 undefeated world champions, hes stepped up to a number of unbeaten fighters and he last stepped up to an ex champion whose only loss was to the divisions last dominant king. All of them ranked top 10 and most of them still are.
What would Joshua be stepping up to with Ortiz? Hes never been a champion, he isnt bringing millions, hes not unbeaten and he just like Deontay Wilder they have both been at the higher end of this division for long enough to of faced half of the people Anthony Joshua has faced. But they havnt.
Truth is Ortiz is a slight risk low reward, he brings nothing, hes had a route to Joshua before but he dropped it and went what he saw as the easy route to a world title, Just how Fury sees it, he blew that chance and now hes back to ****ing on Joshuas door, hes just making a bit of noise and is chancing it. Joshua owes him nothing and he hasnt been called as a mandatory, it would be a decent fight but which ever way you look at it Joshua has bigger options which ever way you look at it. He wants Wilder which brings him money and a world title, if not Whyte which is a much bigger fight than Ortiz in a financial and grudge personal matter. So why would he give 2 ****s about Ortiz right now.

He can as well tell his promoter to send contract to them.
Lolx.....

Ortiz had a shot to put himself in the picture. Hearn put him on cards but he stunk the place out and struggled with Malik Scott.

AJ is the odd man out! Still hasn't faced Wilder, Ortiz, nor Fury! One was signed to MatchRoom, one is from the UK, and he turned down $50 million to fight the other! Not a good look! MAN UP!
Try something new. The 50mil mantra has expired.
Nice try
