That’s what Fury is doing. To prove he’s back at his best He’s going back to where he left off. Before his breakdown he got in the ring and called out Wilder for the WBC championship.

You don’t prove you’re at your best by looking good against cans.

He didn’t look great in his two fights so far. He should’ve taken a fight against a world level contender before stepping in with wilder. Say he fought and beat a Dillian Whyte or pulev Ortiz etc there would be no doubt he was back to his best. But after his last two fights there will definitely be people saying he’s not back to his best and that’s no surprise
