When I said "someone who should know better", by better I meant Radio Raheem should know better than to ask that question when it is self explanatory.

It was baiting just as Wilder said, an attempt to get a volatile quote out something everyone already knows about and can attest to the veracity of.

Who the fuque doesn't know his people have been fighting 400 years?

No one asked Tyson about his people fighting for 200 years, and rightfully so since everyone knows the travails of The Travellers.

It's like asking a person who everyone knows was assaulted what they mean by saying they got into an altercation.
When he said his people have been fighting for 200 years he's talking about boxing and bareknuckle boxing, not traveller prejudice. It was to emphasis that fighting is in his blood. Wilder turned it into a race thing

comments like yours, and behaviour like wilder's is part of why black people have a hard time winning the anti-racism PR battle. seriously, if there truly is a struggle, are you going to win people over to your side simply by screaming "there's a struggle, but i'm not going to tell you what it is!!!"???
            TF you talking about?

            Your attitude IS the problem.

            Like Raheem's.

Asking folks to explain self-explanatory shyt.

It's just another way of denying it or minimizing it's seriousness or importance and I am glad Wilder called out that BS.

It's saying "your oppression is so insignificant and so un-noteworthy that I need you to explain it and why I should care".

It's the same mentality that has idiots writing school textbooks and calling the people kidnapped from Africa (and forced into a lifetime of labor, ****, and murder) migrant workers.

And BTW, why should anyone have to be "won over" to human decency and equality?

When he is talking about 'my people' does he mean American people or just people?

Wilder can't turn it into something that was already there.

And, in this country at least, it's always ALREADY THERE.

I think you have a point about what Tyson was getting at; he does come from a long line of hand to hand combat ancestors.

But, if it is about whether fighting is "in the blood" no one has a longer claim than the folks brought to this country in chains...and those ancestors of Wilder's weren't the ones that made it about race either.

Wilder trying to turn it into a competition and say his people been fighting slavery or racism for 400.

Pulling the race card like a *****.
                  Exactly.

Wilder's response is not even in context of what Fury is talking about but Wilder is too unintelligent to realise that. Fury was literally talking about boxing/fighting.
