Remember Fox is selling the PPV directly on there streaming site
to so thats money that 100% is coming back to the players in this fight.

The numbers don't gotta be THAT good for that reason. So basically 200k buys on regular PPV would equal $7.5M in revenue to Fox, the promoters & fighters, but 200k buys on Fox PPV would equal $15M in revenue to Fox, the promoters & fighters. Obviously most of the sales will happen with regular PPV, but every sale they do get via Fox PPV will add 2x the amount to the revenue.

Meanwhile Eddie is doing PPV in the UK & Sky committed a domestic assault on him for saying that PPV is dead sh^t, but he didn't call the police cuz he knows it was his fault & he loves Sky too much.

PPV is dead, but only in America. But not at Bars, because DAZN will be a PPV service for bars, and not a stream service...so yeah. PPV is dead but only in America and only when Canelo isn’t involved.

So basically nothing has changed since Floyd retired

Not at the time that they are showing it here. It would do better numbers in america, the fight been shown here at 4/5am makes it a hard sell.

Why is Eddie still showing Joshua's fights on PPV in the UK then?

I'll tell you why. Cuz it makes a lot of f#cking money & regular TV isn't gonna pay them enough to profit like they profit on PPV. This is why EVERYONE who does a PPV does them 99% of the time. They are trying to profit beyond what they could profit with the same fight on free TV.

Firstly I hope PPV dies in any country, i have been saying that for over 6/7 years now.

Secondly PPV is cheaper over here so people would not complain as much. But i would still rather pay £10 a month than £19.99 for each event.

PPV is too expensive in america period! It doesnt matter if people have or dont have the money, the price should be a lot lower.

The gate and ppv would be bigger if fight was in uk , however i think the BT ppv numbers will actually be ok as the public are now starting to take to fury i know alot of people whos opinions on him have changed

                    Whats Fury's biggest gate revenues?

And I doubt it'd do better PPV numbers. UK PPV's are 3x less to start with so 100k US buys = 300k UK buys. As far as I know Fury only did 1 PPV (w/Klitschko) & it did ~500k buys so if this fight does 166k buys its tying that Fury vs Klitschko number right there.

Which also means the UK PPV record is 1.5M buys which means its comparable revenue-wise, which is all that realllllly matters despite all the buys talk, to a 500k US PPV buy fight. The UK market needs to grow & build more still before its comparable to the US PPV market. And with Joshua at the top it could grow alot in the next several years if things go well for them.

I'm with you, but the end isn't even in site yet & ESPN+ & DAZN is just a hybrid PPV model.

Secondly PPV is cheaper over here so people would not complain as much. But i would still rather pay £10 a month than £19.99 for each event.
Its still PAY PER VIEW doe.

The fact they have been making money on PPV's for years suggest it isn't "too expensive" for most people.

Economics don't give a f#ck about what the price should or shouldn't be. If they can sell 500,000 @ 100 ($50M), but they can sell 2,000,000 @ 20 ($40M) which one is the better deal? The one thats making them more money obviously. I'm sure they got graphs & studies on this sorta sh^t & there are plenty of rhymes & reasons for the price they choose.
