Comments Thread For: Espinoza: Wilder-Fury Couldn't Happen If Not On Pay-Per-View

LOS ANGELES Stephen Espinoza understands the concern among some of even boxing's most hardcore fans to pay $75 on Saturday night to watch the Deontay Wilder-Tyson Fury fight. Ideally, even the biggest, best bouts Espinoza is involved in making would air live on Showtime. That's not economically realistic, though, definitely not when huge heavyweights put their perfect records and an eventual lucrative shot at British superstar Anthony Joshua at risk.

Espinoza is right but he better hope that this fight delivers in terms of PPV buys.

This fight didnt need to be ppv wilder and Fury just go overpaid and Showtimes gonna lose money on this event because of that.

They'll get it back with a future big event. Remember that Floyd vs. Robert Guerro disaster lol

One PPV in December, featuring 2 of the Top 3 HWs, is not a problem! 3 PPVs in the span of 4 months is a BIG problem! As wild as it may sound, I think Wilder vs. Fury is probably the least PPV worthy fight of all 3!

Wilder and Fury combined are worth about 3 to 5 million tops.

                  Somebody at Showtime blinked first.

You got to remember that Floyd just came home plus Guerrero was undefeated at that time too that played into the promotion should of been a knockout win for Floyd
