He has well documented mental problems, but being scared of a fight is something he doesn't suffer from. In fact, when people talk about fighters being scared or cowards, its just projection, imagining how they would feel with a fight coming up. Fighters dont get scared like that, they get hit all the time, if you get knocked out then so be it its part of the game.

This is the same Fury who Joshua won't even consider fighting. Funny when Joshua brags about all the money he makes against carefully cherry picked opponents yet there is a long list of credible fighters his PR team floods the media with baloney in order to avoid any REAL opposition . I can't blame him considering his glass like jaw. Ortiz no way, Fury no way, Wilder well Joshua won't even be in any town Wilder happens to be in. If your old, already beaten or just a tomato can like Charles Martin your a sure prime candidate for Joshua. At least Fury and Wilder have the stones to fight each other while Joshua relies on his PR team to build his media generated legacyComment

I'll be happy when December 1st gets here and gets over with. It's quite alarming how American people hate the American Boxer and praise Fury. Fact of the matter is, only one of these fighters possesses Athleticism AND the Equalizer...And that's Wilder.
There was NOTHING masterful about Fury's victory of Wlad; but if you only listened to people on this forum you would think he completely boxed Wlad's ears off. The truth: Fury was entirely too awkward for Wlad to figure out and his reach was too great for Wlad to penetrate.
I don't believe this will be the case with Wilder.Comment

But I suppose the argument, is Fury surprised Wlad and Wlad couldn't adapt on the night. But Wilder will expect what Wlad didn't.Comment

Boxers are terrified before they get in ring. They just don't show it or admit, until they've retired. Maybe in twenty years time Wilder will reminisce about the time he was scared of Fury real bad. Or maybe Fury will.
Why don't you think wilder will encounter similar problems to Wlad? Wlads better than Wilder with better resume.

But ive read interviews from big names and they admit they were scared. I think foreman said something like that before fighting Frasier and youd never think foreman would be scared. I think iron mike cried before getting in ring.Im sure they sometimes think to themselves why am I doing this and what am I doing here moments?
So I don't know.Last edited by hugh grant; 11-27-2018, 02:02 PM.Comment

A lot of people are saying it’s either Fury on points or Wilder by KO. It seems everyone’s forgetting that we’re fighting in the US, there’s 2 judges from North America and a WBC belt’s on the line. Wouldn’t be surprised if a couple of them have Wilder ahead by the time the fight ends.Comment

That maybe true, but when boxers are not retired they never admit anything. Never admit they were hurt in a fight or in any trouble, or they weren't scared.
