Comments Thread For: Deontay Wilder-Tyson Fury: Enjoy The Ride

By Tris Dixon - There was a time when it felt like it was a joke on boxing fans, that Tyson Fury's return to big-night boxing against Deontay Wilder was a fantasy, prematurely arranged to take attention away from what everyone thought was THE only heavyweight show in town Anthony Joshua. Now, Joshua against Saturday's winner will be bigger should it happen, but make no mistake this is a huge night...

I piece of bacon grilling for an hour??

Going by Furys last two fights I can only see him having a punchers chance to win this fight.
This is not the Fury that beat Klishco this is the Fury that has had to loose huge amounts of weight from his drug addled body not to mention the depression that plauged him for a cpl of years.
Good on Fury for getting this far and getting this fight but I just can't see him standing a chance.

At least we will have a new Heavyweight Lineal champion Robbie

Good article. This is the best fight that has been made in this division. It's very intriguing, as it could be very close, or perhaps a lopsided decision for either fighter. Fury has a chance, and would not be shocked if he wins.

cant see a decision, cant see fury lasting due to how he had looked previously. he would need a BIG turnaround to have anything more than a punchers chance, imo

                  Wilder is Clearly #1

Fury could last until late in this fight if he decides to just survive and run for as long as his rusty legs allow but in the end he'll finish the night looking up at the lights. As for Joshua he's been the most marketed carefully managed modern heavyweight in a long time. His PR team does a great job making sure to belittle any real competitive competition. Look at his "big:" wins against smaller or shot title holders. Klitchko was old, already beaten and suffered from ring rust yet Joshua had to get off the canvas to win. Martin? Come on! How in the world did this joker get a title? He flat out wouldn't go near Ortiz and still won't . I predict Joshua will continue to fight carefully cherry picked opponents and SHOULD be seen as only the 4th beast heavyweight behind Wilder, Fury and Ortiz
