        Did he get banned for having banned substances in his body? I believe so.

        Also your recollection is incorrect and probably biased. He had huge amounts on one test. He’s a cheat and that’s fine just learn to live with it.

                I agree with the premise that you cannot judge a fight based solely on facial damage.....

                sure ^^.....

                but in that fight, it was telling.....

                the reason why is, MOST fans are talking utter fkn BOLLOCKS, and have no idea how to score a professional boxing match

                * clean hard punching
                * effective aggression

                * ring generalship
                * defence
                regarding the bold.....

                if anyone actually thinks that landing a few more pitty-pat/pushed jabs counts as "clean hard punching" and "effective aggression"..... then they should take a look at Golovkin's face after the fight

                based on the ONLY (weak) argument for Golovkin..... facial damage is never the final argument, but it was telling in the context of how that fight unfolded

                he got dished up with plenty of BETTER, HARDER, EYE-CATCHING, JUDGE-FRIENDLY punches..... and Gennady's face attested to that fact

                  except he didn't. he landed more jabs and the cleaner harder punches. they might have caught abotfckin times eyes and were friendlier to him but to most people no.

                  who landed the better punches in rounds 9-12 it was clearly ggg but let me guess you switched your scoring crtieria from cleaner harder punches which canelo did for example in rounds 6-8 to who threw more punches even if they were blocked for example like round 12. i dont think you can do that and be considered a consistent judge.

                  there's no way canelo won 7 out of the first 8 rounds. it just didn't happen so thats why your argument is a false one since canelo only landed the cleaner harder punches in maybe half the rounds at most and these are the rounds you are paying attention to as if the others didn't happen? and in many of those rounds he got jabbed over and over so landing one more power shot probably isn't good enough to give him the win unless abotfu-ckin time is the judge

                      Yeah I counted the jabs and Power Shots using Compubox and assiged 2 points to every power punch and one point per jab. That is being extremely generous to Canelo. Golovkin still won by one round. That is not taking into consideration that as you pointed out Golovkin hurt Canelo in the later rounds with power punches. Those damaging punches should have been given more weight in scoring but he ignored that. The guy is clueless when it comes to scoring a fight. He doesn't even know what effective agression and ring generalship is. It was obvious that Canelo was marching forward trying to get Golovkin to back up to the ropes. He failed miserably. Golovkin used his jab and footwork to keep the center of the ring. When Canelo got tired he opened up with power punches. The judges got it wrong.
