    Kathy Duva, promoter for former light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev, believes her boxer's issues with stamina is now a thing of the past. Kovalev (32-3-1, 28 KOs) was at one-time regarded as one of the most feared fighters in the sport. But in recent years, Kovalev has lost three of his last five fights - and two of those defeats have been by knockout.

              stamina does get blown quicker against superior opposition. But that can't be fixed by just doing more cardio

                While overtraining does make sense (been there) I think the more obvious problem is Kov’s apparent alcoholism.

                  yup, he's a pack a day guy too

                  Arrogant, a poor trainer and a terrible lifestyle

                  he put himself in the position he's in now, he could have put the first ward fight beyond doubt if he lived the life

                  nobody to blame but himself
