I am sorry, but I have to disagree with your logic, titles, and PFP status are not needed for a fight to sell, there is countless examples of this.
Let me give you an example.
How many PPV buys did Trinidad/Jones do when both men were far past their prime with no titles and no pound for pound standing?
This fight is much bigger than that one.Comment

They're not stopping anyone from getting a PPV. You were either gonna get or never gonna get. Having ESPN+ or DAZN ain't gonna effect that.
More people know Pac and Broner than they do of DAZN even existing.Comment

ESPN+ and DAZN haven't really saturated the market yet. With HBO Boxing gone, we dont know who will absorb the customers, or where they'll decide to move...until ofcourse in the next coming months with the upcoming fights lined up.
I'm pretty sure Showtime will prove everybody wrong and will be here to stay unlike HBO.
More people know about Pacquiao and Broner than that espn app or dazn. Heck, when Pacquiao was gunna fight Matthyse, they didn't know where to watch it and complain about it being in the app. It'll take at least a couple of years for espn and dazn to saturate. Until then, Showtime leads the way.Comment

This is one of those guesses that are tough to gauge it all depends on the level or promotion for the fight, how many commercials the build up etc.
If its under promoted it will fall around 250-350k buys and just hardcores ordering it
if they promote it well get it out there that Pacman is back, and fighting in the USA again and coming off a big win and have Broner talking mad ****, I see it being a big success doing 750k buys or more.Comment
