I applaud his bravado. Let's see if anyone else (good opposition) will fight Loma, though.

But I'd hate to see him get totally schooled by Lomochenko.

At 32 years old, he should hang them up VERY soon IMO.
I do wonder if he could actually earn more fighting Luke Campbell. Can’t imagine the money is brill to fight Loma as a Mando in the states

Hmmm, I could see him fighting Loma in the UK but the money to bring loma over here would be a lot. Which means Crolla taking a good size pay cut for the beats he would be getting. So i cannot see it happening.

I agree - a domestic fight would be a better business decision.

Unless he really believes he can beat Lomachenko...but most would say he falls short on skill and any power at all to land a lucky KO shot.

Hearn can sell just about anything to the Brits... In fact, they should have put him in charge of the NO campaign for the Brexit and England would have sold its soul to the Euro.

There are several lightweight contenders I'd pick to beat Crolla but do any of them have a better couple of wins than Burns and Yordan since their last defeat? By the low standards set by his rivals, Crolla deserves his title shot. I'd still rather see him vs Campbell with the winner facing Lomachenko, but it is what it is

                  It’s true.

                  They’re two good wins.

I remember the round by round on this forum during the Yordan fight and posters were panning him. I was genuinely thinking this is borderline a career performance. It was all pretty samey and drama free but Crolla boxed very well and his feet and defence were excellent. And Yordan was well prepared, fit, and dangerous.

He’s come a long way from losing to an ice cream salesman.

But obviously there is no special effects there. He can only really punch with the left hook to the body and most other punches he just pushes to get off in combination. He’s very clever he knows how to win.

He’s a very good fighter at that sort lower world level standard.

Crolla is an acid test for Campbell imo.

But yeah Loma is on another planet.

But Crolla is a lightly regarded generally on here. But to be fair, generally NSB is extremely disrespectful across the board

I like Crolla as a person, don't rate him excessively as a fighter. Competent enough to beat some B-level guy.

But if he really thinks he can defeat Lomachenko, then the brick he was hit by those burglars years ago must have done some damage after all.
