Comments Thread For: Promoter: Pascal Cements Hall-Of-Fame Status By Beating Bivol

There isn't much pressure on Jean Pascal. The former WBC light heavyweight champion is a huge underdog entering his fight against Dmitry Bivol on Saturday night in Atlantic City. Pascal is 36 and hasn't beaten a credible contender in more than three years, not since he out-pointed then-unbeaten Yunieski Gonzalez in the bout between his technical-knockout losses to Sergey Kovalev.

      Pascal never better than average

Pascal and the International Boxing HALL of Fame used in the same sentence? Are there no Blasphemy laws in Canada? Lol

Pascal has only won 26 fights. (5 losses, one draw and a No contest) Dawson is his biggest scalp? Laughable. Bute the next biggest scalp he claimed? Then a series of no-names as the 'real' good fighters blitzed his average azz to reveal his being a hype job.

Belle Center can be lively, but crowd noise and the shills for the network do not grant a ticket to HOF.

NOW HE FIGHTS BIVOL? A CHAP WITH A MERE 14 FIGHTS???

      Horrific.

When you look at Pascals record you see that pretty much every time he stepped up he lost

Pascal was once a good fighter, but now he's well past it. He has no chance to beat Bivol. But even if a miracle were to happen and he ends up winning, his accomplishments are nowhere near to being worthy of the hall. Not even close.

#1 Ali lost to Doug Jones (watch the fight), Leon Spinks, and Ken Norton three times. And he got dominated by Jimmy Young. Let’s not make a guy more tha he is because he’s the idea of the world. #2 He said he was the best fighter since Muhammad Ali. He didn’t say he was better. But guess what? He IS better than Ali.

Greg Leon must be sneaking into Oscar's stash. No way is this guy anywhere near the HOF. I mean he can visit much like the rest of us, but that's about it

He’d have to clean out this Light Heavyweight division if he even wanted to think about it. Bivol would be a nice win though
