You must be young if you never seen Mayweather destroy fighters when he was in his prime. Canelo looks good fighting old, shot and smaller fighters. Canelo only chooses fights he know he can win. Look at all the names on his resume, they're good names but they are all old and past it. His best wins are Lara, Trout and GGG. Everyone else was shot, old or never that good. There's a reason why he went after the weakest champ at 154 in Smith instead of the Charlos, Hurd, or Lara. He's moving up to chase a bogus title against a weak champ instead of fighting the main guy in Callum Smith. I like Canelo but don't act like he doesn't pick and choose who he fights.

Floyd was past it at 34, had hand problems which made him switch up his style. He wasn't the fighter he was when he was Prety Boy. I remember Floyd didn't even want to fight Canelo but Canelo and every fan kept saying Floyd was scared of a young strong champion, they Floyd takes the fight and school Canelo and people start using the Green excuse. Canelo was a champ, beat Trout and Mosely and other before that. So you're proud to say that Canelo now beats an old Floyd who has been retired? Why now? Why wasn't Canelo calling out Floyd before Floyd retired? Was he just waiting for Floyd to get old to call him out?But I thought Floyd was a much fresher 34 yr old compared to a battle worn Oscar m? Wasn’t that what was said or is it so only when it’s convenient for you when it’s supports you’re argument.
Man poor Floyd guy was all completely washed up at 34 despite showing zero signs of slowing down. lolComment

Floyd that beat Canelo was the best you ever seen? You really must have barely started watching boxing. Floyd didn't even care to fight Canelo, it was Canelo and his delusional fans who thought Canelo would be too big and strong and whip Floyd. Canelo through a tantrum when Floyd wouldn't guarantee a fight against him that he didn't fight on his undercard. I was in Vegas for that fight, everyone was picking Canelo to win and KO Floyd. The Floyd that beat Nell might be Floyd at the best he's ever been.
Floyd had experience from big time fights. Nel o was largely untested.
Nel o was fast tracked when he knew he was a potential Floyd opponent he fought trout and Ssm to get some experience.
Nel o said Floyd was more expwrienced. Nelo s got that experience nowComment

Stop it with the Canelo was young and because of this, he gets a pass against Floyd... there were others who were young too and we judge them by their accomplishments and failures, not by the "young" excuse...example Benitez, is the youngest world titlist in history, capturing the WBA light welterweight title against Antonio Cervantes when he was only 17-years old. At age 22, Benitez became the youngest fighter to capture world championship titles in three different weight classes after defeating Maurice Hope for the WBC super welterweight title. We can say he boxed against others with this so called attributes: "young" and "inexperience".
Canelo dreams of a fight against Floyd, because he knows the possibility of winning now is higher, because Floyd is "old", "retired" and not only that, but not in his prime.
I believe Floyd was "old" (at least by boxing standards) when he faced Canelo at age 36 despite the one sided victory. Floyd dictated the pace against a talented and younger boxer in Canelo. Canelo has improved but a prime Floyd is way too savvy to get hit by any combos coming from Canelo, he will be able to see them coming all day.
Canelo wasn't too young Floyd was just too good. A prime Floyd (yes, even at 36) beats any version of Canelo.Last edited by MachoPower; 11-21-2018, 02:12 PM.Comment

Mayweather was 36 not 34 and he wasn't in his prime. If you're going to lie at least try to make it closer to the truth so you won't look so ******.Last edited by joseph5620; 11-21-2018, 01:57 PM.Comment

This is NOT a debate "Pretty Boy" AND "Money" BOTH beat Nelo.I don't know maybe because canelo turned pro at 15 years old and the first 30+ fights were glorified club fights not top level fights and he had 7 title fights before fighting Floyd he also couldn't even grow facial hair. He could of had 100 club fights in Mexico they were amatuer level fights for him to learn how to fight. He didn't start fighting real pro level opponents until 2010 when he signed with Golden boy and he was fighting real fights in the states and 3 years later he was fighting the number 1 p4p fighter in the world. That's insanely fast. To just mention his pro record and not bring up his age, weight, level of opponents and other factors is just foolish. Canelo wasn't even in p4p lists when he fought Floyd and had never headlined a ppv or truly been in a big fight atmospher. He's now on all top p4p lists entering his prime years and has headlined like a dozen big PPVs that's experience. Not club fights in Mexico.
Floyd beat him and nothing changes that but if you think he's not better today then he was or that he wouldn't beat Floyd today you on drugs. Floyd is too damn old and was getting hit a lot by a bum McGregor last time we seen him and is way too small to be fighting any middleweights let alone a elite one. And Canelo is way to big to ever drain himself to fight at 152 ever again.Comment
