We need to see his flaws and they will show themselves when he steps up in comp

Peterson never carried the power at 147, he had some success though, it just had little effect nor did any damage. He was never a big puncher at 140 either tbh.

Spence is very good at applying educated pressure with his footwork, and his combination punching is extremely effective when he’s on the front foot.

I think you must beat Spence with foot speed and sharp counters. You are right about durability as chances are you will be eating some hard leather in the process of trying to outbox him.

Prime Floyd is the best example of a fighter who I think meets all the criteria. Crawford might also but I’m not sure.
Pretty much agree with all of this...

Floyd, SRL and SRR are the three best examples who could beat Spence off the back foot IMO.

The only major problem Floyd could face is the size, I met Spence in person during Canelo-GGG 2 fight weekend and he is f***ing HUGE for 147, he’s definitely taller than his listed 5”9, it honestly wouldn’t surprise me if Spence ended up fighting as high as 168 or 175 in the future. I think Spence would be a really difficult matchup for Floyd physically, however I’d still pick prime Floyd to figure him out and do what he always did and get the “W”.

I think Thurman if 200% focused and Pacquaio that fought Bradley/Cotto 1st time and 4th with Marquez had style to beat Spence

People saying good footwork and handspeed.

Thats two things Mikey Garcia doesnt have.

I root for the underdog but I know the odds.

i think you need to be very strong for a start.

spence commented many times at Brook being incredibly strong and Brook was matching him in every way until near the end and the effects of dropping two weight divisions kicked in.

To beat Spence first you got to get somebody in the ring with him and then.........

I don't think you beat Spence with footwork and handspeed and boxing around him.

Brook tried that AND was packing a great punch.

                    It didn't work.

It won't work if Mikey tries it.

It won't work if Bud tries it.

The way you beat Spence is to back him up, make HIM box defensively.

And frankly, I'm not sure there's anyone weighing in under 160 pounds that can do that right now.

Like Canelo fought GGG in the rematch, take it to him on the inside and get physical back with him like Kell Brook did early

Back foot fighting vs a good body puncher that will only be effective for about 4-5 Rounds, once he springs a leak down stairs and your legs start to go then you're basically PREY. He is not unbeatable, nobody in this ERA is they ALL have noticeable FLAWS which is going to make for a Great ERA of Boxing!

Also Spence Jr is far from Flat Footed than people think, big mistake for those thinking he is slow and they will come in and have a huge speed advantage. Cuts the ring VERY WELL!
