So is this DAZN doing PPV? Doesn’t really make sense to go pay to watch it if they are advertising it as free. They’re not really selling their core message here.

once DAZN announced that they struck a deal to have the Canelo fight broadcast live on lineal cable/satellite providers for bars, clubs, and casinos the next shoe to drop was movie theaters. This is great news for fans that were worried that because DAZN is streaming that you couldn't watch the fight at bars, movie theaters ect like you have for past Canelo PPV fights.

It means it's PPV for Bars, Casinos, Movie theater establishments to order the fight via their in house cable/satellite provider. For fans it's free if you want to stream the fight from home for the first month and just 9.99 every month after as a subscription. This is more for fans who just like watching big fights in large crowds. I know many fight fans who prefer that then watching at home

Why buy a ticket for something that is free though?

well why go to bar to watch a NFL game that airs for free on TV at home? Every sunday bars in the US are packed with people spending time and money at bars even though it's free at home. People just like the large crowds. I've seen big fights at bars and that's cool but I personally like watching big fights at a house party but I got buddies that have watched a fight at the movie theater and say it's really fun on the huge screen and with a large crowd. One day I have to check it out at a theater.

Unless he's secretly a power ranger Fielding has no chance. Not interested at all in this exhibition fight.

For the excitement. Imagine 100's of ginger fans screaming their heads off in the arena. Great atmosphere.
