Oh, it's going to do better than that easily, even if it doesn't get to 12M.

I don't think they were lying about it doing a million the first day.

I suspect there will be similar rushes in the last week or so.

Maybe he has a better understanding of the American market now and how hard it is. It’s not like his fights have sold many but then again he hasn’t had a fight as big as this to promote.

It’s funny because a lot of posters are laughing at my comment not realising it’s Actually something they probably agree with

It's possible the one million was referring to bulk buys by Stubhub and others, who it appears have since made additional buys. Five million in buys total? I'd say that's fair.

I think when all is said and done, they will get near AJ's gates in money tho nowhere near the amount of seats.

I think they do at least 8M and as much as 12M.

What are you on about ??

For a big fight Joshua would sell way more than 75K with the new capacity at wembley and a unification he would be pushing 90K.

You think the average ticket is 4 times the price of UK you can actually just check the prices online. The cheap seats for this are 75$ about 55 pounds UK the cheapest at UK would be 40 for miles from the pitch to get anywhere near the view at the Wilder Fury your talking 100;s the most expensive are 1000s.

For Stiverne vs Wilder I know some guys walked up on the day and got some reduced to 40$'s ! way less than uk prices.

Will this out sell a big UK like Bellew v Usyk who knows ?

Selling 75,000 tickets with a gate of 10M?

            or

Selling 16,000 tickets with a gate of 12M?

Million on the first day is indeed good, but not easy to get to $12 million. Pacquiao/Clottey had a live gate over just $6 million. Pacman vs Hatton did less than $9 million. Floyd vs Cotto did $12 million and those two are far more popular than Fury/Wilder.

I mean some how Hopkins vs Calzaghe did $11 million but still not sure how that happened lol.

If they get to $4-6 million that will be a good number for this fight.

AJ sells a lot of tickets.

But his gates are about 10M or so.

That is well within reach here.

I doubt they match Joshua's live gate. Most expensive tickets for Joshua's last fight was more expensive than the most expensive for this fight and the cheapest tickets for Joshua would be about $62 USD compared to $77 USD so there's not much different there.

Wilder/Fury would need to sell out for the live gate to match what Joshua makes for selling out an 80K stadium.

For example Canelo/Khan had tickets priced from $150-1500 compared to Wilder/Fury's $77-1553 so pretty similar. Canelo/Khan sold 13,072 for a live gate of $7.4 mill while Joshua did over $10.8 mill for the Wlad fight.

Based on those numbers if they sell out with 21K tickets they make $11.88 mill but they won't sell out, not even close to it so can't see them doing more than Joshua unless they sell at least 19K tickets and even then that might not be more than Joshua does.

Wilder doesnt have a huge mob of moronic fanboys, with raging hard ons, who will throw there money away just to see AJ take his shirt off and beat on some bum.

What casual fan comes to boxingscene.com? Deontay has never had a problem selling out Barclays and now they took that show on the road
