Anyone think Wlad will come back?

I think he's patiently waiting for the dust to settle. Wilder vs Fury vs Joshua winner and will try and take on the victor for all the unified belts.

    Why?

    - He was 1 punch away from beating the current best heavyweight in the world.
    - He's still sparring monthly, sparred Usyk last month.
    - He's incredibly competitive and wont want to go out on a loss.
    - Distanced himself from his managers comments that he is not coming back.

Fury and Joshua were young, fresh, undefeated guys in their 20s when they fought Wlad who was 39 and 40 in those fights. 39 year old Wlad lost a decision to Fury, and 40 year old Wlad knocked down Joshua.

Joshua is now 28, Fury is 30, and Wilder is 33. All 3 men are still undefeated, but they are slowly getting wear and tear. Joshua and Wilder are still getting knock outs, but they aren’t coming as quick as they use to, and they are taking more shots. As for Fury...we all know the rollercoaster his body’s been through since the Wlad fight.

So while Wlad’s training and staying in shape, he may also be resting and repairing his body by taking time off.

If Fury can walk away with the WBC belt it could happen, i can't see anyone Wlad would want as he's stated it has to mean something about legacy. That would leave Joshua but they are close friends now and I really don't think Wlad would favor himself vs an even improved Joshua now who has established better fight weight through experience now.

He's not coming back. Many pro fighters stay sparring even after they retire. It's no different than a basketball player who keeps playing recreational basketball after they retire.

He has nothing left to prove but there will be a payday waiting if he ever gets the itch.

I'd say he has 2 years tops to make up his mind for a comeback.
              (Then its over for sure...)

He's in his 40s and the HW landscape isn't what it was when he was there pretty much towering over everyone and keeping them at bay with the jab jab right. Now they are his height/size, taller, younger, more athletic, and faster. He already had a go at two of the top 3 HW's (Wilder/Joshua/Fury) and came up short.

I think he has a shot to beat who ever he can keep at bay, maybe Parker, Ortiz, Whyte, Miller. But due to his age, those fights aren't given wins anymore. They would've been, easily, like 5-7 years ago, from 2012-2015 where he kinda still had a lot in his tank for these shorter guys. I think he would've always had issues with Joshua and Fury though.

Wladecould entertain one more legendary fight for the undisputed if it's available for grab. He might take the risk with all momentum.
