Before Fury came back and signed with him, it was well known that Fury spoke to a number of promoters, his plan wasn't to be rushed back, he knew he would need 4/5 fights before he fights the bigger threats, no promoter would encourage or be involve in it unless they are in hot mess and in need of quick money.
If I tell my promoter I want a world title fight, his job is to get me the world title fight.

and bloody hell man, 5 tune ups?

Personally i think it was a dumb move from Fury, I think he could have squeezed a bit more out of hearn and hearn would have actually given him progression and really built up to an AJ fight probably next summer
I think the problem was a too tough opposition that Hearn proposed to Fury for first 3-4 fights cuz Fury came up with his 4 names that were total bums. After those 3-4 fights, Fury demanded AJ with 50/50 split.
Considering all that, I think Fury's intention was just to come back for quick money and not to seriously continue with his career. I think even Fury knew at that time that he'll never be the old "Klitschko" Fury again. And Hearn probably realized Fury's intention too-maybe that's the source of Fury's anger towards Hearn (derailed Fury's plan). That forced Fury to go with plan B - sign with Frank and fight Wilder for as big money as possible, which doesn't look promising (poor ticket and probably also PPV sales).

btw, I just don't believe Fury's claim that he got 5M for each of his last 2 fights. No way.

Fury will be ready. Don’t listen to Joshua’s fanatics.

Yes it's also your promoters job to protect you from yourself. It is why you have a team. Fury was out for almost 3 years, he wasn't just inactive in those years as well. He was on *******, alcohol and depressed and ballooned up in weight. You have fighters who have surgery and they would take 2/3 tune up before getting in the ring with a threat.

Wilder himself before the povetkin fight had like 3 tune up after he had surgery, they push that fight until they couldn't no more (Not blaming him for the Pedvtkin fight not happening).

So when i said Fury needs 4/5 fights i know what am talking about, every single expert in boxing agreed with that assessment.

true...I just have that feeling that Fury is shocking the world. And I see as lot of heart attacks seeing the negative comments towards him.

If Warren paid him that much then maybe thats why he is cashing him out now and bankrupt. No way does those fights make enough for pay everyone involved in the promotion.

Fury has never rated Wilder and always said he would be easy work.Since then Wilder has beaten Ortiz and maybe looked more of a proposition and ideally as Tyson said one more opponent and he'd be there.Maybe the hard sparring over there with Joyce , okolie and co. has done the trick because as Tyson also say's if you can fight you can fight!

I think this is such a exciting fight given the uncertainty of both; Tyson could make Wilder look a total novice with his jab ,defence and movement . Wilder could do the unthinkable and find a way through all this to take Tyson out cold.

Personally I think Wilder will find that way through at some stage and take Tyson out but I wouldn't be amazed if Tyson won on points and actually hurts Wilder in a real thriller.

***.... What Hearn thinks he and his fighter were too afraid to make this fight so they don't count they are just as you and I spectators ....nothing more!

I along with family and friends will be up at 4 am shouting for the big boy in this brave and commendable attempt.

I think more people are on furys side than they ever have been. I wonder if that is important to Tyson?
I wonder if that will motivate Fury to win? I wonder if that will help him beat Wilder easier than he already would have?
But it will be tough for sure for Tyson. Wilder is a great competitor. If Cunningham was his toughest fight, this may just be tougher.

But maybe fury didn't train his hardest 3 years ago and now has trained haarder than ever before, he maybe be able to get somewhere close to what he was before. Just maynot be there yet. But we will see.
