But I ain't hating cus generally I give Hearn props for taking boxing around the country & not just the usual spots - it's healthy for the sport. Think it's obvious now that DAZN is gonna take a while to get to where they wanna be but I think they've made an OK start.
Matchroom learns from DAZN trip to Kansas

People bought tickets to see Nico Hernandez so it's kinda dumb to not realize a lot of those people would leave after Nico's fight. Especially when the next 2 fights on the card were Claressa Shields v a late replacement & another showcase for Big Baby.

On the west coast. East and midwest, where most shows are located, not so much. Once again you're believing things you read on the internet but you don't live here so you don't know.Every boxing fan knows that Mexicans are the fans that drive the US boxing market. If you want good attendances put Mexicans on your card. Want good PPV sales, fight a Mexican on a Mexican holiday. Mexicans and other nationalities (to a much lesser extent) turn up to events, Americans don't.

He has way too much on his plate. Dude literally is putting on a show every single week and his schedule will only get busier with the Italy/Germany DAZN ventures. I was joking, but dude will end up getting divorced soon since he will be on the road so much.Fair play on him learning on the job. Lotsa people are busting his nuts over it. I think its fine. If we are talking about this sh^t 2 years from now doe its a problem & maybe this 8 year deal does get cut off at 2. Not that they wouldn't keep Hearn on for these other areas he's getting, but it might be better for a US promoter to do US fights.
I will say I kinda expected Hearn would be more ready for the US market. He seems like he has some relationships with other US guys & this sh^t he's going through now seem like some first few questions he'd talk to Bob or Al or whoever about prior to coming here. But he either didn't do much homework or he didn't believe what people told him.
Also I think Eddie is tired as f#ck. Dude is looking & acting more exhausted every time I see him lately. I think thats where some of this sh^tting on other peoples product while his isn't looking so great itself sh^t is coming from too. A burn out with all the sh^t he's doing these days seems like something that has a high likelihood of going down. This mfer is 30mos or less from a divorce probably too. He's gonna be hanging out with Kalle making weird ass faces & mouth movements soon enough if he don't slow down.
And besides, I think he thought it was going to be a bit easier cracking into the American market with the type of cash he had. He wasn't able to make to sign the guys he wanted to and the crowds for his shows haven't been good, dating back to the Jacobs HBO cards.Comment

100%.
Idk what he's thinking with some of this sh^t. Unless its his retirement plan or something. But one would think he's got several more years in the game, but maybe he's looking to play out the next couple years to the end of this first DAZN deal in 2026 with boxing & then let someone else takeover maybe while he runs his dad's company.
His dad is no spring chicken. He might have to start doing all that side sh^t like darts & w/e in a couple years.Comment

Yeah but when AMERICANS say Kansas is a terrible idea Eddie Hearn Minions reply with: "You Guys Are Hating On Eddie Hearn Because He Is Going To Take Over America" so let him learn the hard way
DAZN is a good service I think they will be fine BUT as some point they're going to question this investment/relationship with Hearn since he hasn't delivered the big names he promised fans and I'm sure DAZN that he would. Eddie said himself DAZN wants bigger Names NOW!
Poor location and sh#t card especially for consumers who are actually PAYING for the Service. You have to give consumers non stop good programming and that will be the challenge when you have a THIN RosterLast edited by sicko; 11-19-2018, 08:40 PM.Comment

Because GBP was raided by PBC but if DAZN give Oscar enough capital I can see him getting some top talent signing with him again
He would've definitely done better than what Hearn is doing right now all of his USA shows so far been hot garbageComment
