In all seriousness, this Fury/Wilder fight has backfired pretty badly

They're going to try and claim the UK numbers, even though we all know those will be mostly because of Fury. They made this fight to try and increase Wilders percieved value in an AJ fight by fighting the guy they figured would sell the most tickets and PPV's outside of AJ himself
But two weeks to go and they have only opened half the arena and are going to be giving away tickets?
IT's embarrasing man, and I know wilder fanboys are going to come in making excuses and talking trash, but it is what it is. It's backfired and left egg on wilders face.
They need to hope the PPV does ok because if it's a half full arena with poor ppv numbers they are gonna be a laughing stock, and it's not like they can go up from here.Comment

Nah I think there is demand.
People just don't like that hillbilly thug Wilder who fights bums, ******ed internet trolls, innocent mascots and talks about killing people and permanently damaging fathers in front of their children.
Wilder is an ******* and a bum slayer, that's why America doesn't support him.Comment

First off the most important thing is that the fight is made , that 2/3 of the HWs that have a legit claim to be their eras Best when it’s all said and done are willing to fight each other and to see who the #1 HW is , whether it’s a success at the box office or PPV should be secondary. Sure if it faiLs AJ / Hearn will keep or increase their leverage they have if they want to fight the winner but it’s just good to see the best fighting the best
It’s just weird AJ /UK loyalists who claim to be boxing fans wanting this fight to do poorly
Boxing is a niche sport in the States and even when 2 elite Fighters face off ( Ward /Kov ) it’s far from a guarantee that it’ll do well as far as the gate and PPV sales . Most so called boxing fans don’t support the sport never mind the casuals .Americans want the circus not to see who the best is I mean Kov /Ward did 160k PPV and May /McGregor did 4 mil
I think it’s too early to tell if thisnfight will be a success financially but always guessed it’d do 175- 300 PPV while decent it’s not Earth shatteringComment

The fact that these fanboys want a heavyweight championship match between the #2 and #3 guy in the divison to fail is very telling.First off the most important thing is that the fight is made , that 2/3 of the HWs that have a legit claim to be their eras Best when it’s all said and done are willing to fight each other and to see who the #1 HW is , whether it’s a success at the box office or PPV should be secondary. I'll be watching with keen interest whilst hoping for a good fight but to call Tyson Fury the #3 in the division is quite telling. You can't ***** about fanboys whilst coming out with clear fanboy remarks yourself.
Here you are proclaiming a guy that took years out of the sport, ballooned to the size of a whale and snorted coke willy nilly as the 3rd best man in the division when he's only had 2 comeback fights against total bums and not even looked good against them.
Tyson Fury will be a good name on a resume; let's not pretend he's anything more than that because that's just total bollocks.Comment

Why don't we actually wait until the fight happens and we find out how lucrative it truly was? Maybe all of you criticizing the fight are right, but because you all have been attacking it since before it was signed, you look like fools wishing/hoping this fight flops.
This should be a good fight/event for boxing in general, and should further build a future opponent for AJ so stop being babies and enjoy the event.Comment
