    Interesting match.

Marquez is much, MUCH better than Cotto but he did kind of max out at 135 IMO. I know, I know he schooled Pacquaio at 147 and then nearly killed him but that was also a fighter who was also smaller and he'd already known Pacquaio very well.

147 was probably Cotto's best because he matured more as a fighter there. At 140 he had more vulnerability but enough for Marquez to expose? I'd say yes because Marquez wouldn't have to go chasing Cotto down. Cotto would try to move but that's not his natural style and Marquez having better timing, accuracy, skill etc; would get the better of enough exchanges to edge it on points.

Marquez above 135 was not the same fighter though.

Both are bums. Margarito phucks up both of them punks.

I would favor Cotto. The reason Pac beat him was with aggression and offense, not just timing and defense. JMM is more of a counter-puncher and I think Cotto would have pressed JMM just enough to pull out a points win.

He beat him because of weight and wanted nothing to do with Cotto without a CW. Cotto said himself he would never do that to his body again for another fighter.

Manny called Cotto out again in a rematch and Cotto said sure but no CW Manny said no thanks.

I don't see Cotto being outboxed by JMM. Sorry but Cotto is naturally WAY bigger and a great technical boxer.

stfu!! cotto fought clottey at 146 before fighting pac at 145.

and the rematch didnt happen NOT because of no cw at 145, it was because cotto wont fight pac at 147 and instead wants to fight pac at a cw at 150!!!!!! it was cotto who wanted a CW for the rematch!! get your facts straight homeboy!

Miguel Cotto has spoken, and he's spoken very loudly. The Puerto Rican star says he absolutely will not go back down to 147 pounds to rematch Manny Pacquiao on June 9, and will hold firm on wanting the fight at 150-pound catchweight.

Yawn. Cotto agreed to the weight and it was his responsibility to be at his best. Pac was coming up from 140 after crushing Hatton. You really think after watching the Pac/Cotto fight that if Cotto had those two extra pounds it would have made a difference?

While we're on denials of rematches, JMM wanted no part of a 5th Pac fight once he heard VADA would be necessary. He even said he would not fight for $100M. THAT is all telling.
