No way in hell Hughie wants this smoke, he would run like hell for 12 rounds against Joyce

Decent domestic clash, question is does Hughie take it or like Chisora and Washington do they go look for an easier and more lucrative option.
As for how good Joyce is, I think he's better than he looks. Nobody expected him to do as well as he did during the Olympics, plus he won European gold and World bronze the year before, he's a fighter that peaked later on, probably due to him coming to the sport late.
I think he'll beat Hughie and is good enough to be a contender eventually. But with his chin, porous defence and slow hands I can see him come unstuck when he reaches the top level. A big puncher he can't push back and pressure will likely beat him.
Where’s this bad chin thing with Joyce come from? 🤔
Has he got dodgy whiskers?Comment

I don't get the hype with Joyce
Hopefully we get to see him in with someone decent soon considering his age but very little upside for his opponentsComment

Thanks for proving my point. Now ******s can't say any more that Joyce is not top 10 ranked challenger.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...gs#Heavyweight
He doesn't seem to be in the top ten at BoxRec, TBRB, Ring, WBC, IBF, WBO, or IBO...
Just the WBA, and only barely (#10). They have Fres Oquendo, Bogdan Dinu, Otto Wallin, Manual Charr, and Trevor Bryan ahead of him among others.

BTW, I find it funny that Wilder isn't on the WBA's top 10, but Joyce is right at #10Last edited by Chollo Vista; 11-15-2018, 06:08 PM.Comment

The WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO generally do not rank each other's champions as they all recognize the titles of the others.
Those four are not ranking every fighter in the division from best to worst, they're ranking people following specific paths to their own titles.
Additionally, the IBO recognizes the champions of the big four and thus doesn't generally rank them either. But the big four do not care about the IBO.
So if you want rankings that truly rank the best 10 fighters in the division you look at TBRB, BoxRec, The Ring, ESPN, etc.Comment
