Comments Thread For: Wilder Co-Trainer: Fury Like Rubik's Cube, But He Can Be Solved

Deontay Wilder's training camp for his fight against Tyson Fury has presented plenty of challenges for Wilder's trainers. The 6-feet-9 Fury is different from any opponent the 6-feet-7 Wilder has fought during his 10-year pro career. Fury's agility and overall conventional style, particularly for such a huge man, makes him difficult to catch clean.

Wilder can be sold even easier. Take that right hand away and he is useless like Szpilka perfectly showed us https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4LzBdfNRKE

That was a nice clip. Missed the part where Szpilka got hit with a right hand and woke up in the hospital. Taking the right hand away is hard to do since little of what he does is technical or even repeated from a fight to fight basis.

Solve a Rubiks cube? Get angry and smash it with a hammer - which could probably be similar to Wilder's tactics for this fight.

The one thing that Wilder repeats every fight is the range-finding jab, all of his big rights are tee-d up by that tapping left. Ortiz took that away by cuffing the jab and moving - but then he got tired from chasing the KO himself and never recovered before getting stopped.

Ortiz got caught with right hands early and went down in the 5th. In southpaw stance Fury will be able to do much of the same, but it will be at the expense of his left jab.

Wilders gonna find out the first 5 - 6 rounds what fury is about

He doesn’t get hit flush to often or at least old fury didnt

Fury looks in a career best shape hopefully we see a top scrap

Nah, what done Ortiz in was he got baited in by Wilder and got caught with a massive counter right hand. Ortiz tried throwing a triple jab and Wilder set him up perfectly. After that he never recovered.

Actually, he caught Ortiz with a lead right before he knocked him out. Ortiz didn't gas, he got the hell knocked out of him.
Wilder's jab landing percentage is the highest in boxing against orthodox fighters.
Thst jab is going to break Fury's nose by the 4th round.

I watched the Pianeta fight again and he got clipped a few times. He definitely rolls punches well. Gonna be interesting to see if Wilder tries to go to the body early to try and slow the movement down.
