Yes, Like it. Think GGG needs to stay at 168 after this.

Him and Smith are 2 fighters I'm a big fan of, and it would take place in a stadium that's special to me as I've been going there for the football almost every other Saturday since I was a toddler.
So it ticks all the boxes for me. Each to their own though.
I thought he said he was too small for 168, id personally rather see him fight charlo since hes the mandatory and the same division.

I've no idea to be honest mate.

I'd like to see him face Smith, but I'd be surprised if he went up and then back down in weight at this stage in his career, and I think Canelo 3 will be the idea before hanging them up.

And sure, you have the right to hate on whoever you want, and you certainly don't need to justify it to me - freedom of speech is a wonderful thing. It seems a bit pathetic to me to use that right hate on any fighter, but we're all entitled to make our own minds up on how to behave.
I'm all for that but after listening to the years of ggg hype train, I was seriously expecting a lot more from him. Just shows how fast public opinion changes if action don't match words. I hope ggg fights 2 dare to be great fights before he retires so he can show his true potential.

            exactly !

props to you for knowing whats up

lets not blame Cotto for a decision that was made by Golovkin

and no way had Golovkin done anything to step in front of Martinez money-fight with Cotto..... in fact, he still hasn't

Mikey has fought bigger fighters before. Ggg has never....

Ggg deserves all this hate since the hype He and his team created was impossible for him to back up unless he took difficult fights and destroyed them.

Guess what he took fights everyone thought he would kill ( Canelo Jacobs) and was exposed as not a fraud. He's a good boxer but he's not what ggg said he was.

Now with no resume, everyone will pick him apart. If he was humble and didn't call out everyone /make new excuses at every turn, he would have much more respect with fans.

            good post !

Arum and Hearn see Golovkin as a money fight for their fighters.
Not as big as the Canelo, though, but certainly more lucrative than Monroe-level fight.
Haymon don't see the same thing. He sees GGG a threat for Charlo.

and another good post, agree with you entirely

like you said, their actions do not match their words

just like the bottom line in this article.....

Golovkin & Ward: Who Is Ducking Who?

" Whatever you think of Golovkin the fighter, there is a serious mismatch here between his team’s words and their deeds "

Golovkin vs Ward: Who Is Ducking Who? Matt O'Brien takes a close look at the war of words between boxing champs Andre Ward and Gennady Golovkin.

                  again.....

this article is quoting Hearn, saying Golovkin is SMITH'S first choice

it says nothing about Golovkin, who may not even be aware of the comment

there is NOTHING to indicate that this fight will happen

EVERYTHING indicates that this fight will not happen

                  just another ggg-fantasy-fight

I'm not even getting into that debate. I've read this argument on this thread for years, didn't comment then, not going to now. Anyone who knows boxing knows how boxing works. Lord forbid Charlo ever takes step aside money, this thread will be in fine form.

Sanctioning orgs have no leverage to make anyone fight anyone unless they have a belt, and even then a fighter is always entitled to just drop that trinket in the trash. Woulda thought anyone with even a basic understanding of how the sport works would know that.

Do you consider that Mikey is also 'ducking' Luke Campbell?
If ggg was fighting someone better than Charlo then it'd be comparable to mikey, til then its all talk & ducking. Or should say silence & ducking.
